Thoughts About Cover Girl Lipslicks Lipgloss

I'm dedicating this post for these CG Lipslicks Lipglosses.
Do I like them? or not? Find out if this can be a holy grail product and if it is worth your time and money.

These CG Lipslicks are available in 12 shades namely: Clear, Princess, Bronze Goddess, Demure, Edgy, Daring, Pearly Girl, Hipster, Precious, Cutie, Flirtatious, and Starlet. You can find out more about this product here-http://www.covergirl.com/products/product.jsp?productId=lipslicks_lipgloss.

According to Cover Girl it will "give your lips sheer color and a shot of shine - or pump up the shine of your favorite lip color! This emollient-rich formula helps keep lips soft, moist and feeling their best as it helps to protect. So say goodbye to dull lips, and hello to beautiful shine."

Packaging and price- The packaging is nice and sleek. It does have a lot of product inside that sleek tube. It is really easy to use- you just twist the bottom part of the tube and the product rolls up, just like any other lipbalm. The price is affordable- less than 5 bucks. I can't remember how much they are. I can't find the price on their website.

Left to Right: Princess and Clear
MY THOUGHTS:

First of all these CG Lipslicks "Lipglosses" are not lipgloss material for me because they don't give your lips that lush effect that other lipgloss do. I would say that these Lipslicks are more on the lipbalm side as it helps soften and moisturize the lips. It does have a tiny bit of shimmer on the tube, but once applied on the lips it will just give you that lipbalm effect- a little bit of shine, but not glossy.

When I bought these I didn't even look at the name or anything. I just grabbed it and placed it in my basket(not a very good idea). If I was just careful I wouldn't get the clear one. I just wanted to try these out because there are mix reviews about it. I thought these lipslicks would be pigmented, but unfortunately they weren't.

here are some photos and swatches just to make things clear.

CG Lipslicks Lipglosses in Princess and Clear
Clear-When I saw this on the rack, I thought this is a peachy coral shade, but it is transparent! That's all I can say. It has no color, but it does give your lips a little shine.

Princess- I would describe this as my lip color. It doesn't show up on my lips, but it just gives my lips a little tint of rosey color which is not very obvious. If you have less pigmented lips, then the color will show up more.

You guys see how sheer they are? It does have a little sheen to it.
So what are my final thoughts about them..

I would say I would recommend them if you get the darker shades because the color will show up. Do not get the light shades like I did. These will not even be an HG product for me and I will nor be repurchasing these. I might just shove these lipslicks in my purse, so I can use them as a lipblam.

I would rate this 3.5/5. :)- NOT BAD.

Will you be purchasing these Lipslicks by Cover Girl?

Nail Update- A Little Bling Bling

here's a little nail update

new acrylics are on!

I wanted to change things a little bit when it comes with my nails. I have been doing french tips a lot in the past and I want change. Change is not always good, but it is for nails. I told my nail technician that I want her to add some drama to my nails, and drama means sparkles! There were a lot of shades to choose from(silver, black, green, red, you name it!) and I didn't want over dramatic designs on my nails, so I chose a mix of purple and silver with little bits of multi-colored chunky glitters. She did an excellent job with it because the acrylics weren't mounted at all.

Im very satisfied with my nails now and I think this time I will not be painting them. If you know me I get bored with plain french tip nails, so after a week I paint them. Now, that I love my sparkly nails, I need to say bye bye to my nail polishes. Don't worry I will still use them after 3-5 weeks.

My nails make me happy! *Big Smile*

here are some pictures I took yesterday .

So fresh and pretty

I like how the girl made my nails look super slim.

can you guys see the chunky pink glitters or whatever you call that?

Have you ladies tried sparkling french tips? What do you think of it? Tacky? Yes! that's the word I'm looking for :D

Haul Part 2: Face--Bronze Goddess

Hi everyone!

I shopped in Seattle and this will be my second haul(My first is the MAC Fabulous Feline). Are you guys sick of my hauls? Sorry I just want to get this out because I have so many things to talk about.

I need some requests from you. What do you like to see and read on my blog? Do you want hauls?reviews?hair tutorials? FOTD?LOTD?EOTD? Fave combos? anything. just comment below and I will gladly do it. I feel that my blog is getting boring because I always do hauls and reviews about stuffs. I think I need to turn things up and go to the next level. I will amp this blog up and make it more interesting for you and me as well.

I love reading reviews and hauls from other beauty blogger because it's super interesting and fun to read. You know the feeling when you purchased a product that you thought you would like, but didn't?I feel that if I watched Youtube and read beauty blogs and if they mentioned the product I bought that I didn't like, I will eventually like it and try giving it a second chance. For instance, I bought Lash Blast Mascara ages ago and I didn't really like the consistency of it because it's to clumpy for me, but a lot of people were raving about it and saying that they love this mascara. I gave it a second chance and bought one last week and it really worked. I just had to do it right so it wont clump that much.

so..I think blogs and YT videos are really important for those people interested in make-up because it helps you see things differently. I know there are mixed reviews about some products, but you just have to search it up properly and read the reviews carefully.

so..here's what I bought

I went to a nearby CCO (Cosmetic Company Outlet) and bought one thing which is the Estee Lauder Sunblush Illuminator from the bronze Goddess collection 2009. YES it is limited Edition and I know it sucks. If you have a CCO near you I think you should take this into consideration :)
CAN YOU GUYS SEE THE GOLD SHIMMER? it's lovely

When I saw this I immediately swatched it on my hand and didn't think twice anymore. I was astounded by this beautiful product by Estee Lauder. I bought this for US $22 because it was originally $32 I believe. Who could resist such beautiful product shimmery product? Maybe some people can but I definitely can't! The outside packaging didn't really wow me because I didn't like the colour of it, but once you open this compact you won't even think about the packaging anymore.

Information about Estee Lauder Sunblush Illuminator

-it may look like a flat shimmery orange and pink on the compact, but it goes on like a dream
-It gives you the most subtle shimmer and glow when two colours are mixed together.
-It is not too shimmery on the cheeks and it is not chalky as well.
-Gives you a peachy-pink glowy colour and will look good on all skin tones.
-The powder is sheer, but very buildable.
-You can use one shade only, but when you mixed both it will give your cheeks a peachy- pink gold look.
- I feel that this is comparable with NARS Orgasm, but less shimmer and more peach. I like Orgasm, but I don't love it because of the chunky glitters on it. I use Orgasm once in a while.
Just want to add this in, but I bought NARS Casino and Im so happy with it too(I didn't post a picture because there are millions of Casino pictures out there) . Casino has been on my list in like for a while now and I finally bought it! I love my Laguna, but now that I'am a bit darker than usual I will be using Casino a lot. Casino is more on the brown side and less orange toned. It gives me a nice bronzed sunkissed look. I think that if I use Casino with this Estee lauder Sunblush Illuminator it will give my face that glowy look that I want.

What face combinations do you use often? Share the love :)

Thanks for reading guys.

Please comment and follow :)

MAC Fabulous Feline Collection- Superslick Liquid Liner

Came back from my trip to Seattle...AGAIN! Lovin Seattle a lot and of course I bought new beauty products as well- NYC Blushable Cream Sticks, CG lipslicks Lip Balm, NARS, etc. I will be doing a haul and review for these separately.

I will first review MAC.

As you all know MAC Fabulous Feline was Launched yesterday (August 26, Thursday). I wasn't too excited and hyped out about it. I know the collection is huge and it can be a bit overwhelming, but thank god I controlled myself. I didn't really want any eyeshadow, lipsticks, lipglosses and brushes, but I was interested about the Superslick Liquid Liner that was released with this collection.

I was not interested with the lip products just because they are too shimmery for me and the colors are out of my comfort zone. I was suppose to get Of Royalty lipstick(baby pink cremesheen finish), but decided to say NO to it. I think this lipstick is very dupable and I have tons of pink lipsticks already. There are tons of shades to choose from, but I just skipped them. The lipglosses didn't wow me and the eyeshadow quads are too sheer and wasn't pigmented. I might come back for the pigments though and purchase more liners? maybe the navy and the gunmetal shade.

MAC Fabulous Feline released nine shades of superslick liquid liners and it comes in variety of colors namely:

Desires and Devices- light gold
Treat Me Nice-dark green
Defiantly Feline- Dark brown
Nocturnal- Silver
Smoky Heir- Dark plum
Signature Blue- Navy
Pure Show- True gold
On The Hunt- Black
Marked for Glamour- Gunmetal

I got two out of the nine- I got Defiantly Feline(dark brown) and On the Hunt(black).

The superslick liquid liner is very easy to use because it has a felt tip applicator. You can do a very thin line with a light hand, but you can darken it as well. The formula is a bit watery, but still it is easy to move the wand. These liners last a long time as well and it doesn't smudge after you apply it on your lids. You just need to wait for about 30-60 seconds to dry. When it is time to remove your eye make-up, these superslick liners can be removed with a facial wipe. I used Neutrogena facial wipes to remove it.

Defiantly Feline- is a dark brown with gold shimmers. When you swatch it on your hand it will look dark, but once applied on the lids it becomes a little lighter which I like. I need some brown liners.

On the Hunt- Dark black with a glossy finish, but once dry you won't really notice the shine.

and I just wanted to add that Graphblack Technakohl Liner. I proclaim my love for this because I repurchase this particular liner over and over again. This is my fifth already. I use this on my lower lash line and water line as well and smudge it a little bit.

Sorry if the eye swatches are a bit messy. I was in a hurry to go out.

Defiantly Feline on the left and In the Hunt on the right
With flash... The far left is the Technakohl in Graphblack
First up is On the Hunt superslick liquid liner
Then..Defiantly Feline
Did anyone purchase the F/W Nail trend from MAC? What are you recommendations?

What do you guys think? Will you be purchasing these liners from the newest MAC collection? or skip it and save your money for other fall/winter collection.

xoxo, Kim

Combinations I'm Loving Right Now

I have been experimenting with make-up products that I have.

I want to share my favorite combinations for face, eyes, and lips. I was thinking of doing it separately- face combination in one post, lips in one post, and eyes in a different post, but I think it will be easier for me to show it all together. I have so many beauty products that I want to share with you, but for now this is what I have in mind.

If you are a follower and a reader of my blog, you will know that my least favorite beauty product is mascara. I know it's a shocker, but I'm just not a big fan a mascaras of any kind. I can't go out with out eyeliner, blush, bronzer, lipstick, and lipgloss, but surprisingly I can show myself without mascara. Now, I'm trying to wear mascara as often as I can, so I can learn to love it. I just bought Diorshow Extase and Cover Girl Lash Blast a week ago to wear and experiment. I realized that mascaras can make a big difference to your eyes- it makes my eyes bigger and more awake.

anyways..

I'm going to show what beauty product combinations I'm loving right now.

First, the FACE
MAC By Candlelight MSF- highlight cheek bones

MAC Stereo Rose MSF- as a blush on top of NARS Madly

NARS Madly- I'm IN LOVE WITH THIS! Used it as a blush under Stereo Rose

NARS Laguna- used it as a bronzer all over the face. (the other shade in the pan is Orgasm Blush which I did not use)

and..show those cheek bones! :)

next..LIPS
Smashbox Pout lipgloss- I have been using this gloss for a week non stop. I had this in my stash for a long time but didn't get a chance to use it often.

MAC Angel Lipstick- everyone needs this pink lipstick and I bet everyone has this already.

Lastly..the EYES

Cover Girl Lash Blast- I use this first to help lengthen my lashes. For me, this doesn't work in terms of volumizing my lashes.

Diorshow Extase - I use this on top of Lash Blast because it gives more drama to the eyes with a little bit of volume here and there. This mascara is great if worn alone it lengthens and volumizes at the same time.

*no eyeshadows and eyeliner on this picture. I'm trying bare eyes with just mascara on. I must say, I like it. :)

What are your fave combinations at the moment? Share it with us :)

Have a lovely Wednesday everyone :)

hugs, kim

I'm Back- A Lil' Haul

I'm back from my trip.

I went to Seattle with some friends for three days. We left Thursday night and came back Sunday night that's why I was MIA for almost four days now. We drove for 3 hours from Vancouver to downtown Seattle and did some back-t0-school shopping(make-up included). It's always fun to go on a road trip with close friends. We will be going to Seattle again this Thursday for 2 days(Thursday- Friday) and go to Nordstrom Rack!

We went to Walmart, K-mart, Target, Walgreens, Rite Aid and CVS!!!! SO HAPPY.

I just bought hair treatments, lotions, and face wipes in the drugstore. I'm going to show you
what I got from Sephora and MAC.

I promised a haul, so here it is. Went to Westfield mall in Bellevue Seattle and bought some tops, jeans, accessories, and went to Sephora and Nordstrom of course. Everyone who lives in Canada should get NARS in the U.S. Seriously, it is a lot cheaper there and less tax too. I was a good girl and did not spend much. Im trying to save up for future expenses. Plus, I just got a new Car, so I need to save up for gas and all those things. :)

Let me know if you want to see the new car. I would gladly post some pictures here.

Anyway, here are my recent purchases

I forgot to include Melba here.
MAC Prism, Melba, NARS Madly, Diorshow Extase, and MAC 116 brush
SEPHORA:

Diorshow Extase- Lengthens and volumizes the lashes with no clumping. I will
do a more detailed review for this mascara next time.
NARS Madly Blush- the perfect neutral blush and it will be perfect with smokey eyes. It is a warm honey pink with slight shimmer. It looks ugly on the pan, but looks lovely on the cheeks.
MAC

MAC 116 Brush- The bristles on this brush is dense and soft at the same time. This brush allows me to slightly pat the blush, yet it still gives a nice color on my cheeks. This brush has the perfect size-not too big and not too small. I can see it, I will love this brush and this will be a staple for me.
MAC Melba Blush- This is has a really nice peach color with a hint of pink. SUPER PIGMENTED so you will need a light hand for this one. This blush is perfect for those days when you want to go all neutral, but still gives a healthy glow on your cheeks.

I do not have an actual face swatch for this one. I forgot to take a picture.
That's ONE swipe. very very very pigmented.
MAC Prism Blush(Matte)- I was suppose to get Buff but the makeup artist told me that Buff will be too ashy for my skin tone. Girls with olive skin tones should stay away from Buff because it will not give you the color on the pan, but instead it will give you more of a pink shade. I'm very satisfied with Prism it is a muted pinkish-brown and the lasting power is great. It will not give you a powdery look. I really like Prism all in all.
What's your fave blush? Let me know I might get one if it suits me.

That's all for now guys. I hope you enjoy reading this post! :)

Thanks!

Have a nice week.

xoxo, Kim
