Products I Regret Buying 2.0- Aveeno Positively Radiant Cleansing Pads

Im back with another "Products I Regret Buying" post.

I will be talking about the Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Cleansing Pads.

I first heard this in a Youtube video from a couple of make-up gurus(I forgot who they are), and they said that they used this to remove their makeup at night and it works really well. Remember last year, when I went down to Seattle and when I was there I went to Target and was looking for the Neutrogena wipes(blue), but whilst browsing the aisle I found this Aveeno Cleansing Pads. Everytime I buy something beauty wise, I first check reviews on the web just to make sure. I got suckered in by the "Allure" red tag. I always get suckered in by anything with that red "Allure" tag because I want to purchase a product that did work for a lot of people. I love Aveeno because they use natural ingredients, but somehow this didn't work out for me.

here's what they say about the product:

"These dual- textured cleansing pads, moistened with foaming skin- conditioning cleansing and natural soy, help even out skin tone and texture for brighter , naturally radiant skin. The pad is smooth on one side to lift away dirt, oil, and makeup and textured on the other side to gently exfoliate and smooth away dry patches. Oil- free, soap- free, noncomodogenic and hypoallergenic, these pads are gentle enough for everyday use, even on sensitive skin."

key phrases: dual- cleansing pads, even out skin tone, takes away makeup, dirt, and oil, gently exfoliate, everyday use, sensitive skin. These phrases just made me want it more.

When I got home I used this to remove my face make-up. After the first use, I immediately felt DRY SKIN which is NO GOOD. I tried it again after two days, still my skin felt drier than ever. I stoped using this and just set it aside, good thing it worked for my sister(she has oilier skin). This product may work for some people, but unfortunately, it didn't work for me. Good thing I bought back-ups for my Neutrogena wipes because I LOVE that product.

here are some photos of the Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Cleansing Pads

PROS:
- inexpensive
- nice packaging
- dual side- one smooth, other side rough
- smells good

CONS
- made my skin dry
- got break outs

There might be more PROs than CONs, but I will not repurchase this product and stick with my ever dependable Neutrogena wipes
NOTE: This might work for other people with oily/normal skin, but it didn't work for me(dry skin/sensitive skin)

So, here's my question, what do you use to remove away dirt, oil, and makeup? Share them with us.

Happy Tuesday

Products I Regret Buying 1.0: Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment

Hey ladies,

So today until the end of January, I will be doing this "Products I regret Buying Series" because I love reading these kinds of post and watching people talk about what products didn't work for them or products that are not even worth your money. I know we love hauls, OOTDs, NOTDs, and FOTD's post, but let me switch thing up for the sake of my blog. I feel like my blog is full of haul posts.

For the the first "Product I Regret Buying Series" I will be talking about a popular lip treatment that was raved and is still being raved about and I'm talking about Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment(original).

I know almost everyone loved this lip treatment, but I'm not one of them. For the past year, people have been raving about this Fresh Sugar lip treatment and I think it is not worth the amount of money which is I believe is $15- $18 in Sephora. When I first heard about this lip treatment in Youtube and blogs, I didn't think twice of getting it because almost everyone raved about it. The packaging might be nice and all, but the product itself didn't reach my standard of a good lip balm. Honestly, yes it did give my lips a good base for lipstick and all those jazz, but come on, give me Nivea, Carmex, Chapstix, and Blistex instead of this. I don't care if you give me a normal Blistex or the original Nivea because I'm pretty sure that it will heal my lips immediately because I depend on my Blistex(shown below) for when my lips are having a hard time during winter.

So, a big no-no for this product and I would NOT recommend Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment. If you think Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment worked out well for you, then I'm very happy, but unfortunately it is not worth the hype for me.

I'm almost out and I will NOT repurchase!

My dependable Blistex :)

Will you give this lip treatment a try? or if you have it, did it work for you?

Have a great week, and watch out for another "Products I Regret Buying" tomorrow.

xoxo, Kim
