Review: Garnier Skin Renew Anti-dark Circles Tinted Roll On

Well...

That's a pretty long name, but have you heard the hype going around on this Garnier Eye Roll On?

I did and honestly, I was very skeptical about this, so I went to Shoppers Drugmart to "have a peek" and well..I bought it. Duh!

The original Garnier Skin Renew Anti-puff Eye Roll On(the green one) didn't work out for me. Not at all. So, when I heard about this new product, I researched about it and saw/heard good reviews and I told myself I need to try this out!

It is pricey- about CDN $20(no tax yet)- I know rip off, but anyways..that's life here in Canada you get crunched and drowned by taxes. Did I mention that tax here is %12! OH YES!

Let's go on with the review shall we?

Introducing.....

Garnier  Skin Renew Anti-dark Circles Tinted Roll On- I got the fair tone one

A little information about this product:
>> This eye roll on is formulated with Caffeine and we all know that Caffeine helps depuff tired, sleepy eyes(just like coffee). This product acts as a depuffer and a concealer. So let me see a thumbs up for Garnier.

The most important question is...Does it work?
>>  It depends. Why? It's about the age. My mom (44 yrs old) and I (22 yrs old) tried this for 2 weeks and I got great results and my mom..well she didn't.

In my part, reduced puffy eyes and the concealer helped a lot. I haven't used my MAC Studio Finish concealer in two weeks because eventhough it is a light coverage concealer it does its job by covering my dark circles and it brightens up my eye area. I apply this after I apply my foundation.

What I like about this product.
>> It's a 2-1 product which I always get sucked in. I like that the concealer isn't to heavily pigmented, but yet it helps brighten the under eye area a lot. Take not that it will not conceal major dark circle(trust me, even if you slap on three layers it won't work). At first, I was scared that it might dry up my under eye area, but thank God it didn't, or maybe because I apply my Kiehls Avocado eye cream every night before I go to bed.

I got a swatch to show you- as you can see it isn't pigmented so don't expect it to cover all of your dark circles. You can see the sheen as well.

Pros:
- Brightens under eye
- Conceals wonderfully
- Depuffs eyes(well to me it did)
- Doesn't dry up my skin
- No breakouts experienced. Thank you very much for cooperating with me :D

Cons:
- A bit pricey
- Didn't work on my mom(44 yrs old)

** All in all it is worth the hype and I recommend you to try this out. I'm not that sure if it will not work on older age women, but it didn't work on my mom. I love the cooling effect it gives and I had not problems with the concealer part. I actually love that  can just roll this on under my eyes. I wish all concealers are roll ons. :D

Simple, Chic, and Bright!

Such a bad weather here in Vancouver. It hailed last night big time with thunder and lighting. Hello Mr. Sun where are you?

Anyways, whilst browsing the web, I stumbled across these not-so-cheap Equipment tops(Equipment is the brand of these beautiful and bright blouses) from Singer22- by the way, I love this site. Good customer service, so I highly recommend.

I'm on a hunt for a cheaper version of this, maybe I should go Forever21 or H&M or perhaps Zara might have them. I really want how bright and bold these blouses are. I can see myself wearing these tops tucked in my shorts and I will pair them up with a strappy sandal and accescorized with bangles, long necklaces and a statement ring(I won't wear them all at the same time).

LOVE.

Have a nice day :)

Dupe Alert for MAC Stereo Rose! (Sneak Peek)

This is only a sneak peek of the blush dupe for Stereo Rose I was talking about. I say sneak peek because I will post an update tomorrow when I actually apply them both on my cheeks. Look out for that maybe tomorrow on Friday :)

Since I got received about 5 emails asking if I can post it as early as possible..here it is.

I present Body Shop Blush Trio in Warm Sunset and MAC Stereo Rose MSF

> Body Shop Blush Trio in Warm Sunset- Check it out here. I got this a month ago and didn't even bother using it, but I rekindled with this blush and it is seriously a dupe for MAC Stereo Rose. The price if, of course cheaper- $8.50. I'm not sure if I got mine on sale or if it is the actual price because it doesn't say on the website, but I love how it looks on my cheeks. It is a tiny teeny bit darker(more raspberry undertones) compared to Stereo Rose, but when applied on the cheeks- DUPE!

* one bad thing- ONLY AVAILABLE IN THE US.

> MAC Stereo Rose- This MSF was released last year(MAC In the Groove collection) and it was sold out everywhere because of the hype going around. Your best bet right now- Ebay, but for sure you will pay twice the price or even higher. This is my absolute favorite MSF, heck blush from MAC(along with Well Dressed). if you are familiar with MAC MSFs it is a hit or miss kinda thing because some MSFs are super glittery/shimmers, but others like Stereo Rose has the perfect sheen(not glittery or shimmery).

Here's a close up
MAC Stereo Rose
and.. Body Shop Blush Trio in Warm Sunset
Swatch for the Body Shop Blush Trio- now if you want a bang on dupe for Stereo Rose, just swirl your blush concentrating on the pink(bottom on the pan and the far right on my hand swatch) side of the blush.
Left finger: Body Shop Warm Sunset
Right  finger: MAC Stereo Rose

Left: MAC Stereo Rose
Right: Body Shop Warm Sunset
* So there you go a few photos and swatches to show you what I was talking about. I will try my best to update on how the Body Shop Warm Sunset blush and MAC Stereo Rose looks on my cheeks tomorrow, if not Friday.

Hope this helps.

I recommend checking the Body Shop blush trios. I have the highlighter one too- Cool Dusk. If you guys want a review on that just comment below :)

Have a nice Thursday and thanks for reading :)

Haul: MAC Quite Cute

A little bit late, but...

Here's a haul from the MAC Quite Cute collection last week.

At first I thought I would LOVE this collection, but when I saw it in person it wasn't what I thought it will be. Yeah, this collection has a pastel theme to it, the names are cute and the shades are absolutely gorgeous, but the quality and pigmentation is...how do I say this in a good way? uh...cheap and disappointing a little bit.

Last Thursday(April 7) I rushed to my nearest MAC counter and my mind was already set that I will be spending around $100-$120. Initially, I bought six products from this collection(2 plushglasses, 2 lipsticks, and 2 mineralized blush), but when I swatched the mineralized blush and tried it on, it was chalky and really powdery. So I got to do what I got to do..RETURN! So, I'm here, left with four products and spent less than a bill.
 I got:

Lipsticks:

> Playing Koi-  creamy white peach with a hint of pink(Satin)
- Love the color, but not really a fan of the look on my lips. Very drying and you can really see the flaws on your lips. I still need to learn how to wear this without looking like I never applied lipbalm on my lips.
> Candy Yum-Yum- Bright neon pink(Matte)
- This is my favorite of the bunch, doesn't look matte though and it is creamier than Playing Koi. When will I be able to wear this? I don't know, but I will eventually. :D

Plushglass: If you are not familiar with MAC's Plushglass, then I will explain it to you. They are marketed to give you plump lips. I don't think it works though :|

> Girl loves- Creamy pink with blue undertones
Love you- Creamy lilac
* I really have nothing to say about these plushglasses, but they are sheer and I really like them (I like the tingle okay?).

Photo below: Candy Yum Yum and Playing Koi

Photo Below: I Love you and Girl Loves Boy

* In conclusion, I have something to say to MAC:
PLEASE step up your game and don't release a new collection twice or thrice a month. Release a collection maybe once a month with good quality products, no more chalky/powdery blushes and uber sheer eyeshadows .

Thank you.

Thoughts? What did you get from this collection?

In & Out - April Edition

Hi ladies

I have been a very bad blogger lately, so I must say sorry to that, but I'm here to deliver you my In and Out for the month of April.

You may ask why are you doing an "In and Out" blog post right now it isn't even mid-April? Well..here is my answer..I won't be here on the last week of April because my Family is coming, so that means less time to blog and more family time *big smile*

If you follow my blog, you know that I won't be here for the whole month of May because I'm going to the sunny Los Angeles and Las Vegas(well.. not really sunny, but better than Canad!).

I have a little 5 year old sister and we will be bring her to Anaheim Disneyland(insert "where your dreams come true" ). I'm super excited to see her face when she sees all the Disney princesses(her favorite is Aurora from Sleeping Beauty and Jasmine from Aladdin). I will update you guys on that. Maybe take some pictures there and do a little Disneyland blog post. You likey?

Okay, I'm blabbering again. Lets me share my In & Out for this month

IN

Weather- It is still kind of cold, but bearable about 13 Degrees. I LOVE IT! I mean who doesn't? I can;t wait for 20 something degrees to hit Vancouver.

How I Met Your Mother- I can't say how much I love this show. My favorite character is Barney and Lily. How bout you? Do you watch How I Met Your Mother? If not, then you must!

Bright Lipsticks- Bring out MAC Show Orchid and Candy Yum Yum from the newest Quite Cute collection. Bold, bright, and beautiful. It might be tricky to wear this outside, but you can always tame it down with a nude lipstick right? That's what I do.

Longer days and lesser nights- The sun sets at 8 or 9pm. Two thumbs up for that.

Body Shops trio blushers- When I have time I will review a blush trio from The Body Shop. Only sold in the US though, but guess what? this is a dupe for...wait for it... Stereo Rose! The Body Shop Trio blush has more raspberry tones, but very close to Stereo Rose. I'm really excited to do a review of it.

MAC Fix Plus - I use this spray everyday to set my makeup. There are tons of ways to use Fix Plus. I recommend you to watch my friend Holly's video and go subscribe!

OUT

Applying pastel nail polish- Do you guys know how much time I spend when I paint my nails with pastel shades? For example, yesterday I painted my nails with  the yellow polish from the Hello Kitty  collection in Sephora and I applied about 4-5 coats, but still it is very streaky. I also tried Essie French Affair and still..hard to apply, but the shade is gorgeous. I think I will leave that with a professional.

Not having nice camera- I need an SLR this instant. I need to invest on a good one. You guys know why? because my Sony Cybershot sucks when I take FOTD and OOTD photos. Any recommendations?

That's pretty much it

What have you been loving and hating this month?

Have an awesome Tuesday!

Obsession: Gladiator Loving

Hi there!

I proclaim myself a GLADIATOR SANDALS ADDICT. I have about 5 pairs and I wear them with almost anything. I prefer pairing them with jeggings or denim shorts because it looks more "boho" and I actually like that(very Nicole Richie- Mary Kate Olsen- esque)

I gathered some pictures from Google, of course.

Personally, I love Sam Edelman, Steve Madden, and Cynthia Vincent sandals, but I would like to purchase one Gladiator sandals this summer(I actually want a cheaper one, probably around 60 dollars or under). So recommendations are very much welcome :)

and... this is a wee random but...

I envy this model's neon lips. GORGEOUS. I wish I can pull that off too :D

Sorry for the boring posts lately, my friend borrowed my camera and I need that to take pictures of my MAC Quite Cute haul post :) I might post that either tomorrow or Tuesday .

Have a great week everyone :)
