So here is the said nails of the day..or should I say WEEK. Yes, guys this Lucky Lucky Lavender by OPI(a creamy pinky lilac shade which is by the way perfect for spring and summer) lasted me for a week(well..six days to be exact) and look!- no chipping here.

Well, thats it!

Have a nice Friday(insert Rebecca Black's "Black Friday")- HEHE.

What's your favorite nail polish?

Thanks all for reading and look out for my MAC Quite Cute haul!

NOTD: That's Berry Daring

This will be a quick post because I'm about to head out, but I want to show you guys what nail polish I used today.

Recently, I'm all about bright hues because I'm really excited for spring. I opted for a bright-ish pink called That's Berry Daring. This is from the OPI's Brights collection and I love it.

One thing I like about OPI That's Berry Daring is that it is a nail polish color that is true to the way it looks in the bottle even after application. I would describe it as a very creamy, glossy fuchsia pink berry color that has a slight pearlized purple undertones that is opaque in a swoosh(I always apply two coats tho). This shade is perfect for both manicure and pedicure, but I bet most of you would like it on your tippy toes.

So..enough blabbering. Here are some pictures of the polish I'm talking about- People of the world, meet That's Berry Daring

NOTE: SLOPPY APPLICATION :D Sorry
I tried to capture the purple undertones. I TRIED, but its nada.. :(
I think you can see it better on the nails.

What shade is on your nails right now?

Have a happy weekend :)

Is That A Snake?

I'm back for a second post for the day and tonight, I had the chance to play around with OPI Black Shatter nail polish from the recent Katy Perry and Serena Williams collection.

I tried putting Black Shatter on top of a silver, pink, nude, taupe polish, but I ended up with this beautiful blue-ish green called Cuckoo for this Color from the OPI Swiss Collection.

If you are not familiar with Black Shatter, it is a matte top coat that has a "shatter" finish. I would recommend putting another top coat like Seche Vite, or any top coat you guys have to bring out the shatter effect more. I wish OPI would make more Black Shatter in different colours in the future, which I know it won't be called "Black Shatter" anymore.

Before I show you my nails, I just wanted to share with you a recent jewelry purchase. I bought a vintage ring two days ago. I love how this looks- simple, chic, black and vintage. It goes with every outfit.

Here is the ring that I'm talking about.

It's adjustable which I love because I have slim fingers. I'm a size 5-6. How do you like the ring?
and here are the polishes I used for this nail look.

OPI Cuckoo for This Color, OPI Black Shatter

My Snake-ish nail

If you look it from far away it looks black, but it looks stunning when the lights hits it

Are you going to purchase Black Shatter? Ir did you already purchase it?

So, I did 16 blog posts for the month ot January! not bad at all.

Let's welcome February with a smile. :)

Thanks for reading,

NATM: For Audrey and OPI Extra-va-ganza

NOTM: Nails at the Moment- because as you guys know I change my nail polish every 2-3 days.

Today, had the chance to take some pictures of my nails. I painted them last night and it took me a good half an hour to 45 minutes. Why? let's just say that China Glaze For Audrey is a mother(excuse my language) to apply- streaky, thin cosistency and needs a good three coats to have that opaque tiffany box colour. For Aubrey may be one of China Glaze's most popular shades and I argee that it is stunning, but I think there are other brands of nail polishes that could be a good dupe for this one that would have a better formula.Okay, so enough with the For Audrey rant and let me tell you what else I used. I also applied Orly's Rage(silver with gold and pink shimmer) and on top of that I used OPI Extra-va-ganza- I forgot to include this pretty polish- so sorry. I would assume that most of you know how this glittery polish looks like. OPI Extra-va-ganza was included in their Burlesque collection-(OPI's holiday 2010 collection).

I know you guys have seen tons of swatches of For Audrey, but it won't hurt to show more right? I applied Orly's Rage and OPI Extra-va-ganza on my ring finger.

Here are some photos of my nails. with China Glaze For Audrey and OPI Extra-va-ganza.
Do you like the accent nail trend going on? Or do you guys prefer the one colored polish look?

Favorite Products Series: It's All About The Nails

Hey lovelies

How's your weekend so far? and of my American readers/followers, how's the shopping? I'm really excited to read/watch some Black Friday hauls.

Anyways, I got my camera back, so time to blog again with decent pictures.

I promised you guys that I will be doing a Favorite products Series, so here it is. I'm going to show you my favorite fall/winter nail polishes. I have been using these polishes non- stop and I just can't get enough of them. Fall/winter is the season to sport dark nails, so here are some from my nail polish collection.
from left-right: OPI Cuckoo for this Color, OPI Teasy Does It, OPI Smitten with Mitten, OPI Bogota Blackberry, OPI Extra-va-ganza, Sally Hansen Celeb City, American Apparel Berrt, Essie Little Brown Dress.

OPI Bogota Blackberry, OPI Extra-va-ganza!, Sally Hansen Celeb City, American Apparel Berry, and Essie Little Brown Dress.

here is my NOTD with a glitter nail accent.- ironically I used a pink polish by OPI called Strawberry Margarita with this dollar store glitter polish.

If you guys want to purchase glitter polishes, I highly recommend looking at a dollar store first, especially the ones that are just clear with glitters in it.
I probably shouldn't be showing you this because my hands have cuts and bruises from all those paper cuts/box cuts. So, excuse the cuts guys, sorry :)OPI Strawberry Margarita and Marie Claire glitter polish.
What's on your nails right now? Share them with us, or even better tell us your favorite varnishes. :)

* if you guys want to see swatches of my favorite nail polishes, just comment below and I'll make a separate post :)

No Room for Blues

I just need to post this one.

I was tweeting about this shade! So follow me I feel unloved :( haha- http://twitter.com/missshawty1127 oh please! :) THANK YOU!!!

Remember I told you guys that I do not have my camera with me, but I can't stand not posting any pictures for this post. I do not want to get online photos for this specific nail polish color. I tried my best to take the perfect picture to show you the vibrant hue of this polish. I hope I did a fair job :D

This was from OPI Bright Pair with Paige Denim(Summer 2009). OPI teamed up with the Paige Premium Denim to create such wonderful shades to pair up with their denim collection. This collection is now permanent, so you can still get it anywhere. All shades included in this collection(No Room for Blues, A Grape Fit, On the Same Paige, Over the Taupe, Shorts Story, and In My Back Pocket) applied smooth and even. The consistency of these shades are incredible and with two coats you're off to go!
From Left to Right- No Room for Blues, On the Same Paige, Over the Taupe, Shorts Story, A grape Fit, and In My Back Pocket- no shimmers on any of them! cream formula which I love!

On the Same Paige- is a muted red- orange, but it has more orange shade on it. It reminds me of fire. It is a cream, no shimmer and applies perfectly.

Over the Taupe- one word: Barry M Mushroom, but a tad bit darker. I know it is the same as You Don't Know Jacques, but this is more dull.

Shorts Story- bright hot pink and there are a lot of shades like this.

A Grape Fit- I do not know how to describe this shade, but I think the name speaks for itself. It has a vibrant shade and it is definitely a summer shade that can also be worn during fall or winter.

In My Back Pocket- Bright orange with a hint of yellow undertones. Applies perfectly like all other nail polishes included in this collection.

I have No Room for Blues and A Grape Fit with me, but I'm planning to get On the Same Page and Over the Taupe soon. I know these are summer shades, but hey there's nothing bad sporting a summer shade when fall comes right? totally!

So here's No Room for Blues- is a mid-toned sky blue that goes on like a dream. It is thin, but pigmented at the same time. Perfect with a tan and during fall/winter season too!

I wouldn't usually wear a blue polish, but hey! it worked out well and I'm loving it right now. It has been on my nails for about three days now. You guys know me, I change nail color every 2 days or so.
oh and BelleDeJourNYC was talking about blue nail polish on her blog too and she was wearing blue nails on her YT videos as well. :) Isn't it obvious that I love watching and reading her blog? haha
I declare that I'am now in love with blue nails.

What shade of nail polish do you wear often? I'm interested! mine will be reds and taupes :)

Thanks for reading! Have a nice Tuesday! :)

Remember to follow me on twitter :)

Just One Coat...Done!

That's great to hear..one coat and done?

Us, nail polish junkies are always in a hunt for a polish that applies perfectly. We do not want thick, watery, hard to apply nail polish do we?

I just recently discovered American Apparel nail polishes. I know these polishes were released months ago, but I'm glad I bought them. Now, lets not assume that these guys are the "perfect" nail polishes out in the market. Of course, there are a lot of good brands in the market such as; OPI, Essie, Chanel, Revlon- you name it! Now, here comes American Apparel with such wonderful shades of nail varnishes. They have dark, pastel and neutral shades to satisfy their customers. They are indeed ready for fall, winter, spring, and summer. I said on my pevious post that I like Ameican Apparel polishes than OPI, or Essie(sometimes, you have to choose the right bottle because some are too thick and some are just too watery). I know That's a huge statement to say, but I really do. The quality is good because it is opaque with just one coat and it dries pretty fast. Do not get me wrong, of course I will still purchase other brands especially OPI because of the huge variety of shades to choose from, but for now I think Im okay with American Apparel :) I love cream finishes and that's what American Apparel did. I'm not really a fan of shimmers and glitters when it comes to nail polishes(except during Christmas!)

lets see what will happen in the near future with these polishes. I will let you guys know if it is REALLY the "PERFECT" brand of polish out there. American Apparel, you need to make variety of shades ASAP and expand your collection for us nail polish junkies, oh pretty please!

with this being said, here is Rose Bowl (American Apparel).

by the way, Im obsessed with these kinds of rings. A statement ring is the perfect way to create a bold look.
What is your absolute favorite brand of polish? Share the love, people :)
Thanks for reading!! :)
Have a lovely weekend, ladies.
