S is for...snake

Ssssh! don't say a word.

Guess who have snake rings? I do!

and..they are so pretty. They might look super tacky, but hey, a girl needs a little bit of tackiness in their lives right? uh huh, uh huh

Okay I'll shut up now and show them to you. You may like them, you may not, but I sure do adore them!

If you are interested, I got them from Aldo.

P.S. I have OPI Lucky Lucky Lavender on my nails. I was actually tweeting about how it didn't chip on me for 4 days. I have lots of OPI polishes, but they chip off after 2 days. Very impressive Lucky Lucky Lavender because of that, you will be my spring nail polish :)

That's all for now. I teeny tiny haul of my guilty pleasure called buying rings.

Have a nice weekend :)

Rings, Rings!!

My love for statement rings has reached the next level!

I found some affordable rings from Aldo Accessories. They retail for only CAD$12. I'm really sorry if you do not have any Aldo stores in your country(they do have an online site-aldoshoes.com).

I love Low Luv X Erin Wasson and Soixante Neuf rings so much(Singer22.com/shopbop.com), but they are pricey. Low Luv X Erin Wasson rings retail for $30-$100, while Soixante Neuf rings retail for over $200.

okay, so enough with the blabbering of expensive jeweries and let me show you what I got from Aldo.

Why I love them:
> Adjustable- one size fits all
> They come in gold and gunmetal
> They fit me perfectly
> Affordable price

*** IGNORE my nails please.I have no polish and my hands are super dry as of the moment.

Gunmetal
and the Gold

So what do you guys think? Will these rings catch your attention?

Anyways, I will be going on a 4 day vacation. I will be going to Seattle on Friday. I'm just letting you know because I don't want to leave you guys hanging. I will try to blog, but I can't promise anything for now.
Bye for now :)

Is That A Snake?

I'm back for a second post for the day and tonight, I had the chance to play around with OPI Black Shatter nail polish from the recent Katy Perry and Serena Williams collection.

I tried putting Black Shatter on top of a silver, pink, nude, taupe polish, but I ended up with this beautiful blue-ish green called Cuckoo for this Color from the OPI Swiss Collection.

If you are not familiar with Black Shatter, it is a matte top coat that has a "shatter" finish. I would recommend putting another top coat like Seche Vite, or any top coat you guys have to bring out the shatter effect more. I wish OPI would make more Black Shatter in different colours in the future, which I know it won't be called "Black Shatter" anymore.

Before I show you my nails, I just wanted to share with you a recent jewelry purchase. I bought a vintage ring two days ago. I love how this looks- simple, chic, black and vintage. It goes with every outfit.

Here is the ring that I'm talking about.

It's adjustable which I love because I have slim fingers. I'm a size 5-6. How do you like the ring?
and here are the polishes I used for this nail look.

My Snake-ish nail

If you look it from far away it looks black, but it looks stunning when the lights hits it

Are you going to purchase Black Shatter? Ir did you already purchase it?

So, I did 16 blog posts for the month ot January! not bad at all.

Let's welcome February with a smile. :)

Thanks for reading,

Mishmash: Rings, Nail Polish, Sweets, and A Cute Blanket

Hi everyone

I have mishmash of random things to share with you all.

I know this is cliche, but I just wanted to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for all the support from my followers/readers. I know I wouldn't go this far if it wasn't for you guys.

For those makeup junkies out there who are thinking if they should start a blog, please don't hesitate because it's worth it. You will learn new things and meet new friends through this beauty community. There might be some people out there who made a blog just because they want freebies, but please don't be like that. Join this community because you want to learn new things and share your knowledge about makeup to other people. It may be a lot of work at first, but as time goes by,you will see that your everything is worth it.

Do what you want to do and don't think what other people will say. There might be haters out there who wants to bring you down, but you should always think that you are doing the right thing. Don't let them bring you down and don't ever quit because if you do, it's over and they WON. So, chin up, heads up, and hang on. There are people out there who loves you and they will support you no matter what.

that's all I have to say :)

anyways....

let's go back with what I'm suppose to talk about..

I wanted to paint my nails with a dark shade, but I can't decide what color- deep green, royal blue, dark plum red, or black. So I tweeted-http://twitter.com/missshawty1127 about it and asked for help, and people said royal blue.

so, here it is my royal blue nails- OPI Dating A Royal
I bought new rings yesterday! I love statement rings.

Here are some photos of them
yeap! I added a glitter polish on my ring finger- OPI Absolutely Alice
well, well..what do we have here? some Anna Sui nail polish. I will do a separate review/swatch on these pretty babies.

They don't have names, so I'll tell you the numbers instead.

left: 700
right: 701

That's lame huh? let's name them shall we?

so, let's call the 700- Peaches and Cream- because this reminds me of a fruit salad.
and let's call 701- Light, Camera, Glitters!- because this reminds me of Hollywood.
I don't like how Anna Sui nail polishes have no names! WHY!?
I was craving for some sour gummies about 3 hours ago, so I drove to 7 Eleven and got candies! I'm such a kid, I know and I don't know why I'm even showing you guys this. So random. :)
My pretty/cute/childish fleece blanket that I sleep with every night. It keeps me warm, especially now that it is 5 degrees at night.
What nail polish are you sporting right now? I'm interested with what you guys have on your lady fingers :)

Please follow me on Twitter! :) Gracias

Have a good Wednesday everyone!

Nails + A New Ring

Hi Ladies!

Hows the weekend so far? are you guys feeling the summer heat so far?

If you are updated with my blog then you guys will know that I've been wanting to get acrylics or gel nails. I even dedicated one post just for this and asked your opinion about them. That post really helped me to decide what to do with my poor uncared nails. I got lots of comments saying that I should get gel nails instead of acrylics because it is less damaging and will even last longer. I also got lots of comments saying that I shouldn't get any of them because I should just cherish and be happy with my natural nails. lastly, I got comments stating that I should get acrylics because they are pretty and will also last long. Those comments really helped me a lot so thank you for those who commented on it and those who read it as well.

So, yesterday I went with a friend to a near by nail salon and got ourselves acrylics. teehee. Yes I got acrylics because their gel nails cost about 80 dollars! That's way too expensive for me. My friend got acrylics as well, but she got it with pin and purple sparkles. I did not get sparkles on my nails because as you all know I get sick of my nails and I will eventually paint them. Give me about two weeks or maybe 2.5 weeks max. haha. Anyways, I'm satisfied with what they've done to my nails tho. I just got the normal french acrylics. They are a little bit too long for me, but I can deal with them. I can now look at my nails all the time and praise them because they are dang pretty!
Taken yesterday with fresh acrylics on. Hope they won't fall off easily.

And

Because I love how my nails look like, I bought myself a new ring! yay for me. I love connector rings. I don't know why, but somehow they compliment my hands. Does that even make sense? I will be purchasing more of these connector rings maybe next time and show it to you guys.

Up close.

Do you guys love these big chunky rings too? They make such a good statement right?
