My second post for a Sunday.
If you ask me what's a must have for a beginner's kit- it is def. a paint pot. When we are talking MAC- its either Soft Ochre, Bare Study, Painterly, or Rubenesque. I don't own Soft Ochre, just because it's too yellow for my skin tone. I know there's a lot of eyeshadow bases out there in the market, but hey invest on something that's worth it right? I will show you guys what I have and review each one of them. Pain Pots can either be a cream shadow, or an eyeshadow base. Yes twice the fun for these babies guys! That's why I love my paint pots. If I'm lazy I'll slap on painterly, or Barestudy, or Rubenesque on my lids, winged liner, mascara, blush, bronzer, lip balm, and dunzo!
oh I forgot, I adore the packaging.
Bare Study- This one, I also use a lot. Its painterly with shimmer basically. The shimmer on this one is subtle. If you put this on your lid the shimmer is controllable and it is very easy to apply. I love Bare Study. I bought this along with Rubenesque. SO it has a special place in my heart.
So here are the paint pots
From L-R- Bare Study, Painterly, Fresco Rose, Rubenesque
The lighting is super crappy sorry guys. From L-R- Bare Study, Painterly, Fresco Rose, RubenesqueBare Study- This one, I also use a lot. Its painterly with shimmer basically. Painterly- This is by far my most used paint pot. Its neutral, its skin color. I use this to even out my lid color. It also enhances eyeshadow colors. For this, you could slap on any eyeshadow, any color you want because the paint pot doesn't have any color. I use this almost everyday.
Fresco Rose- This one, I don't really use. I use this one if I'm going to apply pink eyeshadow like Swish, Da Bling, or Paradisco. I don't usually wear pink eyeshadow, so yeah. I mean its a pretty color and a nice addition to my collection. The pink color on it is not that bright, or out there, that you could wear it alone.
Rubenesque- Its a goldish-champagne color. This was my first paint pot. I got this because the MUA recommended this for me because I have a fair skin tone, so it will show up really nice. This is not a neutral color, but its really nice with All That Glitter, Or naked Lunch, Gleam, Ricepaper- all neutral eyeshadows. This one enhances the color of the eyeshadow a lot.
Swatches- Top: Rubenesque,
bottom from L-R- Bare Study, Painterly, Fresco Rose
Do guys have any make-up product/s that has a special place in your heart? or is it just me. lol

I love Bare Study, I only got it about a week and a half ago, but I've used it every day since! I find it makes eyeshadows last really well when used as a base, as well as enhancing the colours. I've also got Groundwork from the Pret a Papier, which has no shimmer and is great as a base for a slightly darker look.
