Fekkai Glossing Cream

Long time no post!

This  blog post won't be an in depth review, but it will be a brief one.

Alas! Another hair product that lives up to its claim!

Introducing Fekkai Glossing Cream with Pure Olive Oil.
At first, I thought this will be an affordable hair product, but when I saw this at Walgreens I was shocked that it costs $25.00(something like that). I wanted to see if this product really works, so I picked up the travel size one...for now that is. I have been using this for over a month now, so it's a good time to give you guys a little review.

Let me first say something about my hair. I NEVER use hair dyes, so let's call my hair "virgin hair". The only thing I do to my hair is I blow dry, straighten, and curl it sometimes. I'm Asian, so I have dark brown hair- not black. I love the color of my hair, so no hair color necessary here! Thank God.

Let's go back to the review...

Where to buy?
> Any drugstore and salons. I got mine at Walgreens (travel size) which costs $9 and I have a $2 off coupon, so $7!

What it claims to do to your hair?
> "Frizz- fighting, soft seeking shine cream works for nearly every hair type. With encapsulated olive oil spheres to instantly reboot shine all day long. Our superstar formula, ever so brilliant."

How much?
> 7 oz - $33.00
> 4 oz- $24.00
> 1 oz- $9.00

How I use it.
> I apply a "pea-size" amount on damp hair and make sure that it is evenly distributed. I actually concentrate from my ears down. I also use this even if my hair is dry and it is brilliant. It eliminates frizz ans gives extra shine to my hair. Instant result!

* I ABSOLUTELY love this product and I will for sure purchase the full size when Im done with this. I also HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS. GRAB IT!

That's it for now. Have a nice week

Finished: Part II

Hello everyone!

I'm back with another products I've used up so far. This might be kinda boring, but it makes me happy when I finish a tube of mascara or any hair products. I tend to finish hair products A LOT QUICKER than makeup just because I use them constantly, with makeup on the other hand I do not use the same lipstick every single day or I don't even use one blush for a whole week.

I have a random story to tell you guys. Do you guys have that certain month or phase that you are super obsessed with something? For example, last year, I was ADDICTED(I think it's an illness) to nail polishes. Last January on the other hand, I was addicted to rings. I would buy one or two rings every week, then by February I was obsessed with concealers, and now..BLUSHES!

I just ordered six NYX Blushes at Cherrycutlure.com and I'm super excited for them to arrive. They are having a 20% off right now, so this a good time for US to shop there.

Okay, so here are the products I finished so far:
> Rimmel Max Volume Flash Mascara
> L'oreal Voluminous Million Lashes mascara
> Revlon Colorstay liner
> Rimmel Max Volume Lash mascara: I like this mascara(take note I said like not love) because it did give me volume, but it clumps like no other. Sometimes I lile to have clumped lashes, but not too much. I will not buy this mascara again.

> L'oreal Voluminous Million Mascara: Now, this mascara is kind of controversal for me. The wand is flimsy(in a good way) that it does coat my lashes, lengthens it, and gives it a lot of volume in just two coats(very easy to use). The bad thing about this mascara right here is that it did smell funny after using it for only two months. Again, I will not buy this mascara again. I will stick with my L'oreal Voluminous mascara or my YSL Faux Cils.

> Revlon Colorstay liner: If you can see the tip of the liner, it is quite thick and stiff, with that it did give me a hard time lining my upper lash line. I will not purchase this liner again and I will stick with my MAC Superslick Liquid Liner.

and then comes the hair and skin care products...
> Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cetaphil:
- This is my Holy Grail facial wash because it is really gentle on the skin. I use this twice a day(when I wake up and before I go to bed). I just purchased two more bottles for a back-up.

> Tresemme Heat protectant:
- I've been using the same heat protectant for almost two years. I use this and the CHI Iron Guard, but I prefer this over the CHI one. I did purchase another bottle and I'm happy to report that this product is a Holy Grail hair product for me.

> Batiste Tropical spray:
- I wasn't a fan of the smell, but it did work well. A lot of people raved about Batiste dry shampoo and I think it is worth the hype, but I really want to try other Batiste dry shampoos. SO if you have any recommendations, please do comment below :).

> Aveeno Ultra Calming moisturizer:
- I LOVE , LOVE this moisturizer. Whenever I have dry patches I rely on this and works wonders on my skin. I will definitely buy another bottle very soon.

I have part III coming up.

So, Have a happy Wednesday.

USA Haul Part 3- Nail Polishes and BBW

Yes, I know, I know another haul. Bare with me please.
I got a body lotion from Bath and Body Works. They are actually having a buy 3 for $10 for their little lotion bottles, but I just got one(Don't ask me why I only got 1 haha). I bought the famous Japanese Cherry Blossom- I love the smell of this lotion and I'm pretty sure I will purchase the full size one as soon as I finish this one.

A lot of you might already know how cute the little Bath and Body Works' hand sanitizers are and I just can't get enough of them. They are having a buy 5 for $5, so I bought 5 obviously!
I always NEED a hand sanitizer inside my purse, so these little babies will do just fine.
and then here goes the nail polishes..

Yes, I'm still on a nail polish out 2011 and I bought two nail polishes from Sally's Beauty Supply. I'm limiting myself with ONLY 5 this year, so 3 more to go and I have to choose wisely and control myself.
I got OPI Lucky Lucky Lavender- A lot of people raved about this polish, so I got sucked in, of course! The perfect pinky lilac polish for summer. It appears a little too light on my skin tone right now because I'am ultra pale at the moment for your information.

I also got a clear glitter top coat from China Glaze which is called Fairy Dust- I got this because I need a cheap glitter polish for that accent nail or if I want an all over glittery nails. The glitters are so fine, so it isn't a mother to remove(excuse my language right there).

I know I need to stop spending some moola, but how can I say NO to these? Hmm..I should probably see a "shopping consultant"- who will convince me that shopping is...uhm..Not good for my bank account? Yea right?! As if that's gonna happen. I should ban myself from shopping for the rest of the month. Should I?

How about you? Any new purchase?

anyways...my next post will be on hair products. Watch out for that :)

Thanks for reading and have a beautiful Thursday!

Braid It!

This is random, but sometimes I wish I'm BLONDE! I don't know why, but I would love to have blonde hair.

Remember last summer when Boho braids were so in because of Lauren Conrad, Nicole Richie, Mary Kate Olsen, and all those celebrities? Well, winter is almost...well over(2 more months) and we will say hello to spring very soon. I would love to sport these braided hairstyles once again because they have been lifesavers for bad and dirty hair days. I think these hairstyles will never go out of style.

There are so many braided hairstyles that we can do to achieve a romantic, girly, and bohemian vibes and here are just some inspirational photos of well known celebrities.

Let's start off with the blonde beauties- I like to have blonde hair because I think you can actually see the hairstyles better compared to when you have a dark hair color.

Rihanna is rocking the fishtail braid with her gorgeous red locks. She looks stunning!
and lastly, the brunettes

See, braided hairstyles will look fabulous on any hair color. I'm so excited for spring/summer because I can't wait to rock the boho braids again. There is nothing wrong with sporting a braided hairstyle during fall/winter, but I prefer it for summer/spring.

Do you guys like these braided hairstyles? What do you do with your hair during bad hair days?

Drugstore Haulin' + Hair

Another haul!!

It's a Saturday, a very wet Saturday I must say. It's raining HARD here in Vancouver. I like it tho, I kinda miss the rain. So its all good :)

but first, Im going to share my Friday to you guys.

Last night, I watched Step Up in 3D with some friends. the movie was okay-not that good, but it made me laugh. Its a typical dance movie that when you finish watching the movie, you wish you can dance that good. I still like the first Step Up the best!

I was bored at home yesterday, so I took a bath and braided my hair-left it for over 3 hours and blow dried my hair(still braided). I was really satisfied with the result.

Here it is

After A THOUSAND SPRAYS OF HAIR SPRAYS...
Excuse the face. I wasn't done with my make-up :D
A beachy wave!!! :) Im pretty impressed with it. I should do a post dedicated on how I ended up with this hair.
That's it.

So...the drugstore haul

I went to Shoppers Drugmart and they have tons of products on sale! If you are following me, you know that I was in need for lipstick and nail polish recommendations. A lot of you guys said that Rimmel London has nice lipsticks, and to be honest I have no Rimmel London products in my stash, so might as well trust my followers. Glad I did because they are really creamy and pigmented. The Moisture Renew line has no smell to it too, so I really like it. Of course, I chose safe colors such as; Nudes and corals. I also bought three nail varnishes from Revlon and Sally Hansen.

Thank you so much for these recommendations guys! Glad I asked for help :)

I just bought these guys today, so I do not have a review for them yet. I promise I will do it as soon as possible. with lip and nail swatches :)

Rimmel Lipsticks, Revlon nail polishes and Sally hansen

Jaded(320), Red Zin(610), and Storm(820)

Jaded- Mint Green, with a tiny teeny bit of blue undertone. I believe this is Revlon Minted. They just changed the name and made it limited edition. I have Revlon Minted before, but it dried up, so I got this :)

Red Zin- A very deep burgundy red. From Far away, it looks black. I love deep red nail polishes.
Storm- Not a new shade for me. Very similar to OPI You Don;t Know Jacques. I do not know why I need so many of these kinds of shades. I just can't get enough of them. who's with me?

left-right: Nude Delight, Soft Coral, and Crush

From Top - bottom- Crush, Soft Coral and Nude Delight

Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick- Nude Delight (700)

It is a peachy-nude shade. Very creamy and gives a subtle shine on the lips. This particular shade was recommended to me by my lovely followers. Glad I bought it. Another nude shade for my collection. Yes!

Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick- Soft Coral (600)

A true coral shade with a hint of pink undertone. This line of lipstick from Rimmel does not dry out the lips. It gives the right amount of moisture and shine to the lips. It is also creamy and very pigmented.

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick- Crush (202)

This is a dupe for MAC Freckletone. It is a peachy nude-orange-coral lipstick that gives the lips a nice shine. I think it has a frost finish, so expect a shiny finish. It has a sweet smell to it, but it doesn't bug me at all.

That's all for now guys.

Have a good weekend.

XOXO, Kim
