Haul: MAC

Hey everyone!

BAD BLOGGER HERE, I know!

I need to do a little catch up, so please link your blog below because I'm free this weekend.

But, I'm here again to share with you a tiny teeny haul from MAC. As you all know MAC Fashion Flower collection came out yesterday and..I didn't really want anything except for ONE lipstick(I will talk about that later). I'm actually happy that I didn't want anything because I can save money for my US vacation next week.

on the other hand...

I was suppose to purchase ONE LIPSTICK, but came out with three lip products. I have this $10 off so I guess that's not bad.

> MAC Oyster Girl lipglass(permanent)- This is my second tube, so that means that I really love this lipgloss. I can wear it on its own and it still gives me that glossy look that I want. Just take note that MAC lipglasses are a bit sticky.

> MAC Docile lipglass(limited edition)- This came out with the Jeanius collection two months ago, and they still have this one left, so I purchased it. It is a bit similar with Oyster Girl, but this one has a lilac tint to it.

> MAC Mlle lipstick(I KNOW, WHAT THE HECK is that name? how do you pronounce that?!)- Saw the swatches at Temptalia.com and fell in love with it. What can I say, I'm a sucker for all things pink, nude, and creamy. It has a glaze finish, but it still it is pigmented(just like Hue). I'm actually surprised that is a glaze because it is SUPER CREAMY. They should put this on Cremesheens.

some more photos and swatches.

(as you can see Mlle lipstick showed all the flaws on my lips that's why I didn't make this lip swatch extra big for you guys. :D. I should probably condition my lips before I wear this lipstick. I didn't put any lipbalm before applying this)

Oyster Girl lipglass
Docile lipglass
Mlle lipstick

Did you guys get anything from Fashion Flower collection?

Thank you for reading. Next up- APRIL FAVORITES.

The look I want to achieve

The WINGED LINER look

Why?
> It's simple
> Gives the illusion of longer lashes
> Has that pin-up vibe
> Easy to do

BUT...

I still struggle.

I found some inspirational pictures on the web from our lovely celebs.

I personally love Angelina Jolie's look. How about you?

The Lust List

Oh yes, another rainy day here in the city. Darnit! WE NEED THE SUN right now!

Enough desperation and let me talk about what I've been wanting for the past month or two.

Why is it that I never get satisfied with what I have. I always come arross things that I want..or should I say NEED in my life.  As you all know, I already gave up on the GLOSSOUT 2011 because I already bought 4 glosses and I can only purchase 5 this year.

Anyways.. Here are the things I want to have in my life.

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation.
> I need this for summer. Heard great things about this specific foundation from Chanel and I'm willing to spend $50 just to have this in my life. I'm just waiting for my NARS Sheer Glow to finish and I will run to a Chanel counter to grab thisI love water-based foundations because they are lightweight and it does give my face a nice glow.

 Origins VitaZing with SPF 15

> Have you heard the ridiculous amount of raves on this product? They say that this is life changing because it gives the right amount of coverage and it has SPF too to protect the face from the harmful rays of the sun. This cost around $44 in Canada and I think around $35 in the US. I think I'll wait and purchase this baby when I go to LA to save ten dollars at least. I've been reading countless reviews about this moisturizer and I'm totally sold!

Sam Edelman Gigi sandals.

> Simple, chic, and perfect for summer. I want to get it in every color- I wont do that, obviously. I can see me wearing this with shorts and just a plain V-neck top. Again, I will wait and purchase this in LA. By the way, thank you so much for all the emails I received these past few days on the places you guys recommend in LA and Vegas. Keep them coming :)

YSL Rouge Pure Shines
> I'm not sure if they are going to discontinue this line, but I hope not. I've been lusting over these Rouge Pure Shines for months now. Of course they cost a whooping $38 in Canada!! I recently purchased Chanel Coco Rouge Shines and if I will compare these two, I would say that the YSL is a bit more pigmented, but the Chanel is more moiturizing on the lips. I prefer the YSL packaging by the way.

> New COH(Citizens of Humanity) jeggings- preferably dark wash
> White watch- any brand will do. I drool over Chanel , but DUH I can't afford that for now.
> Clarisonic- a bit controversal and I'm not sure if I need this. Maybe not?

What are you guys lusting over? Share them with us.

Have a great week!!

Fekkai Glossing Cream

Long time no post!

This  blog post won't be an in depth review, but it will be a brief one.

Alas! Another hair product that lives up to its claim!

Introducing Fekkai Glossing Cream with Pure Olive Oil.
At first, I thought this will be an affordable hair product, but when I saw this at Walgreens I was shocked that it costs $25.00(something like that). I wanted to see if this product really works, so I picked up the travel size one...for now that is. I have been using this for over a month now, so it's a good time to give you guys a little review.

Let me first say something about my hair. I NEVER use hair dyes, so let's call my hair "virgin hair". The only thing I do to my hair is I blow dry, straighten, and curl it sometimes. I'm Asian, so I have dark brown hair- not black. I love the color of my hair, so no hair color necessary here! Thank God.

Let's go back to the review...

Where to buy?
> Any drugstore and salons. I got mine at Walgreens (travel size) which costs $9 and I have a $2 off coupon, so $7!

What it claims to do to your hair?
> "Frizz- fighting, soft seeking shine cream works for nearly every hair type. With encapsulated olive oil spheres to instantly reboot shine all day long. Our superstar formula, ever so brilliant."

How much?
> 7 oz - $33.00
> 4 oz- $24.00
> 1 oz- $9.00

How I use it.
> I apply a "pea-size" amount on damp hair and make sure that it is evenly distributed. I actually concentrate from my ears down. I also use this even if my hair is dry and it is brilliant. It eliminates frizz ans gives extra shine to my hair. Instant result!

* I ABSOLUTELY love this product and I will for sure purchase the full size when Im done with this. I also HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS. GRAB IT!

That's it for now. Have a nice week

-Kim.

Products of the Week

So far so good with blogging on my part and I'm happy with that.

It's that time again to show you products I've been using this week.

If you follow or read my blog, then you know how this "Products of the Week" works. If not, then I shall explain. Basically I show you products I've used for the whole week and make mini reviews.

Sooo here they are!

No flash
With flash
Products seen above:

> NYX Espresso blush- I've raved about this and used it every single day this week. This blush is wallet-friendly and it just gives you a warm touch on your cheeks. I love how it looks on my cheeks because it isn't a cool-toned blush so it really brings out my cheeks and cheekbones as well.

> Body Shop Trio blush in Warm Sunset- Another product I raved about and you can see it here.  A good dupe for the really hyped up MSF from MAC which is Stereo Rose. The Body Shop Trio blush in Warm Sunset has a gorgeous pink, raspberry, and burnt orange mixture that just brings out those cheeks. I love how it is finely milled that you can easily buff on the product without any effort at all.

> MAC Fix Plus- Seriously, old favorite of mine. This is my second bottle and I use this after I put on my powder products, such as my foundation, concealer, blush and bronzer. I also use this to bring out the pigmentation of an eyeshadow. I just spray it on my eyeshadow brush(1 or 2 spritz) and then, tada!

> Garnier Skin Renew Anti-dark circles Roll On- A product that I reviewed last night. If you missed that out, please check it here.

> Cover Girl Lash Blast mascara- My go-to mascara during the day, but I switch up to L'oreal Voluminous at night.

> Coastal Scents C224 Oval Camouflage brush- Honestly, I don't own any concealer brush, except these two brush that I will be talking about. I use my fingers for more than a year when applying my concealer, but I always wonder if a brush will be a better tool. I love the coverage it gives and the brush is so super soft. I recommend checking Coastal Scents brushes out.

> Eco Tools Concealer brush Can you guys see how big and fluffy this concealer brush is? It is really marketed  to apply concealer. At first, I though it is an eyeshadow brush, but I'm happy with it. I actually use this to apply a translucent powder under my eye and it works great for that, but I also use this to pat on my concealer.

I might not be able to blog a lot on the upcoming months just because my family will be here, but I will try my bes to blog maybe twice a week. Please give me good places to eat or to visit in LA, Vegas, and Portland. I will be leaving in about three weeks. Thank you :)

Any thought of the products I've mentioned?

Happy Friday to you all.

xoxo, Kim

Review: Garnier Skin Renew Anti-dark Circles Tinted Roll On

Well...

That's a pretty long name, but have you heard the hype going around on this Garnier Eye Roll On?

I did and honestly, I was very skeptical about this, so I went to Shoppers Drugmart to "have a peek" and well..I bought it. Duh!

The original Garnier Skin Renew Anti-puff Eye Roll On(the green one) didn't work out for me. Not at all. So, when I heard about this new product, I researched about it and saw/heard good reviews and I told myself I need to try this out!

It is pricey- about CDN $20(no tax yet)- I know rip off, but anyways..that's life here in Canada you get crunched and drowned by taxes. Did I mention that tax here is %12! OH YES!

Let's go on with the review shall we?

Introducing.....

Garnier  Skin Renew Anti-dark Circles Tinted Roll On- I got the fair tone one

A little information about this product:
>> This eye roll on is formulated with Caffeine and we all know that Caffeine helps depuff tired, sleepy eyes(just like coffee). This product acts as a depuffer and a concealer. So let me see a thumbs up for Garnier.

The most important question is...Does it work?
>>  It depends. Why? It's about the age. My mom (44 yrs old) and I (22 yrs old) tried this for 2 weeks and I got great results and my mom..well she didn't.

In my part, reduced puffy eyes and the concealer helped a lot. I haven't used my MAC Studio Finish concealer in two weeks because eventhough it is a light coverage concealer it does its job by covering my dark circles and it brightens up my eye area. I apply this after I apply my foundation.

What I like about this product.
>> It's a 2-1 product which I always get sucked in. I like that the concealer isn't to heavily pigmented, but yet it helps brighten the under eye area a lot. Take not that it will not conceal major dark circle(trust me, even if you slap on three layers it won't work). At first, I was scared that it might dry up my under eye area, but thank God it didn't, or maybe because I apply my Kiehls Avocado eye cream every night before I go to bed.

I got a swatch to show you- as you can see it isn't pigmented so don't expect it to cover all of your dark circles. You can see the sheen as well.

Pros:
- Brightens under eye
- Conceals wonderfully
- Depuffs eyes(well to me it did)
- Doesn't dry up my skin
- No breakouts experienced. Thank you very much for cooperating with me :D

Cons:
- A bit pricey
- Didn't work on my mom(44 yrs old)

** All in all it is worth the hype and I recommend you to try this out. I'm not that sure if it will not work on older age women, but it didn't work on my mom. I love the cooling effect it gives and I had not problems with the concealer part. I actually love that  can just roll this on under my eyes. I wish all concealers are roll ons. :D
