Finished: Part II

Hello everyone!

I'm back with another products I've used up so far. This might be kinda boring, but it makes me happy when I finish a tube of mascara or any hair products. I tend to finish hair products A LOT QUICKER than makeup just because I use them constantly, with makeup on the other hand I do not use the same lipstick every single day or I don't even use one blush for a whole week.

I have a random story to tell you guys. Do you guys have that certain month or phase that you are super obsessed with something? For example, last year, I was ADDICTED(I think it's an illness) to nail polishes. Last January on the other hand, I was addicted to rings. I would buy one or two rings every week, then by February I was obsessed with concealers, and now..BLUSHES!

I just ordered six NYX Blushes at Cherrycutlure.com and I'm super excited for them to arrive. They are having a 20% off right now, so this a good time for US to shop there.

Okay, so here are the products I finished so far:
> Rimmel Max Volume Flash Mascara
> L'oreal Voluminous Million Lashes mascara
> Revlon Colorstay liner
> Rimmel Max Volume Lash mascara: I like this mascara(take note I said like not love) because it did give me volume, but it clumps like no other. Sometimes I lile to have clumped lashes, but not too much. I will not buy this mascara again.

> L'oreal Voluminous Million Mascara: Now, this mascara is kind of controversal for me. The wand is flimsy(in a good way) that it does coat my lashes, lengthens it, and gives it a lot of volume in just two coats(very easy to use). The bad thing about this mascara right here is that it did smell funny after using it for only two months. Again, I will not buy this mascara again. I will stick with my L'oreal Voluminous mascara or my YSL Faux Cils.

> Revlon Colorstay liner: If you can see the tip of the liner, it is quite thick and stiff, with that it did give me a hard time lining my upper lash line. I will not purchase this liner again and I will stick with my MAC Superslick Liquid Liner.

and then comes the hair and skin care products...
> Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cetaphil:
- This is my Holy Grail facial wash because it is really gentle on the skin. I use this twice a day(when I wake up and before I go to bed). I just purchased two more bottles for a back-up.

> Tresemme Heat protectant:
- I've been using the same heat protectant for almost two years. I use this and the CHI Iron Guard, but I prefer this over the CHI one. I did purchase another bottle and I'm happy to report that this product is a Holy Grail hair product for me.

> Batiste Tropical spray:
- I wasn't a fan of the smell, but it did work well. A lot of people raved about Batiste dry shampoo and I think it is worth the hype, but I really want to try other Batiste dry shampoos. SO if you have any recommendations, please do comment below :).

> Aveeno Ultra Calming moisturizer:
- I LOVE , LOVE this moisturizer. Whenever I have dry patches I rely on this and works wonders on my skin. I will definitely buy another bottle very soon.

I have part III coming up.

So, Have a happy Wednesday.

Haul: Face Products and A Comb

Sorry for the lack of post, but I'm here again after 4 days of not blogging and I feel horrible.

Here's what happened:

I tried posting this one 4 days ago(Thursday), but my computer was being SLOW and decided to upload one photo for 10 minutes. I'm very impatient, so I just decided not to blog last Thursday.

Last Friday, I tried posting this one up again and my messed up computer AGAIN, decided to be a turtle once again. I need to upgrade to MAC, seriously!! I'm using an HP right now.

Yesterday(Saturday) I got sick and had a slight fever, so I slept for almost the whole day. I'm feeling so much better now! Thanks to green tea with maple syrup and honey.

So here are the face products I bought when I was in Seattle last week.
L'oreal Go 360 Clean.($7.99)

I was really curious on how this works. I love how it comes with the rubber face scrub(shown below). I can't do a review on this yet because I haven't tried it yet. My sister tried this and said that it made her face really DRY. Yikes! that's not a good thing is it!? It's not good to give a false review right? So watch out for my own review of this face product if you are interested.

Sonia Kashuk REMOVE Eye Makeup Remover($9.99)

I think I saw Elle(Allthatglitters21) talk about this and I really need an oil-based makeup remover, so when I went down to Seattle this is the first thing on my list. I originally wanted the Clinique one(purple bottle/blue bottle), but it's expensive, so opted for this one instead.
My Review- It works better than Clinique and the price is BETTER than the Clinique one too. You need to shake the bottle very well in order for the water and oil to mix. This eye makeup remover performs just as well as the high end oil-based ones I have used (Clarins, Estee Lauder, Clinique), at a fraction of the price. It effectively removes all traces of my long wearing makeup. Highly recommended!

PROS:
- oil-based
- not expensive
- removes eye makeup in a swipe
- removes waterproof makeup

CONS:
- hard to find in Canada(bought mine at Target)

Aveeno Active Naturals- Positively Radiant Daily Cleansing Pads. (28 pads $7.95)
smooth side
rough side
My Review- If you ask me I love my Neutrogena wipes better. This product has a rough exfoliating side and a smooth side as well. I only use this TWICE a WEEK. I first wet my face and then use the rough side and scrub my face GENTLY, then I use the smooth side of the pad and then finally, wash my entire face with water. It does TAKE OFF makeup and it also REMOVE waterproof mascaras and liners, but everytime I use this, it makes my face DRY.

PROS:
- smells good
- exfoliates the face
- comes with a smooth side and a rough side

CONS:
- dried my face out
- only comes with 28 pads
- I recommend NOT to use this DAILY

Wet Look comb(I forgot how much this is, but I'm pretty sure it's less than $5)

Best comb for wet hair because of the large teeth. I highly Recommend this one. I have nothing bad to say about this. It's just perfect. :)
PROS:
- pretty colors
- large teeth
- makes the hair smooth after combing it

CONS:
- hard to find here in Canada(bough it at Sally's Beauty Supply Store in Seattle)

Remember: DO NOT brush your hair with a small teeth comb because it will DAMAGE your hair. Always use a large teeth comb like this one. Goody sells nice large teeth combs too.

- other colors available

All in all, I highly recommend the Sonia Kashuk Eye Makeup Remover and the Wet Look comb.

What have you guys been diggin' on lately? Any new buys?

xoxo, Kim

Combinations I'm Loving Right Now

I have been experimenting with make-up products that I have.

I want to share my favorite combinations for face, eyes, and lips. I was thinking of doing it separately- face combination in one post, lips in one post, and eyes in a different post, but I think it will be easier for me to show it all together. I have so many beauty products that I want to share with you, but for now this is what I have in mind.

If you are a follower and a reader of my blog, you will know that my least favorite beauty product is mascara. I know it's a shocker, but I'm just not a big fan a mascaras of any kind. I can't go out with out eyeliner, blush, bronzer, lipstick, and lipgloss, but surprisingly I can show myself without mascara. Now, I'm trying to wear mascara as often as I can, so I can learn to love it. I just bought Diorshow Extase and Cover Girl Lash Blast a week ago to wear and experiment. I realized that mascaras can make a big difference to your eyes- it makes my eyes bigger and more awake.

anyways..

I'm going to show what beauty product combinations I'm loving right now.

First, the FACE
MAC By Candlelight MSF- highlight cheek bones

MAC Stereo Rose MSF- as a blush on top of NARS Madly

NARS Madly- I'm IN LOVE WITH THIS! Used it as a blush under Stereo Rose

NARS Laguna- used it as a bronzer all over the face. (the other shade in the pan is Orgasm Blush which I did not use)

and..show those cheek bones! :)

next..LIPS
Smashbox Pout lipgloss- I have been using this gloss for a week non stop. I had this in my stash for a long time but didn't get a chance to use it often.

MAC Angel Lipstick- everyone needs this pink lipstick and I bet everyone has this already.

Lastly..the EYES

Cover Girl Lash Blast- I use this first to help lengthen my lashes. For me, this doesn't work in terms of volumizing my lashes.

Diorshow Extase - I use this on top of Lash Blast because it gives more drama to the eyes with a little bit of volume here and there. This mascara is great if worn alone it lengthens and volumizes at the same time.

*no eyeshadows and eyeliner on this picture. I'm trying bare eyes with just mascara on. I must say, I like it. :)

What are your fave combinations at the moment? Share it with us :)

Have a lovely Wednesday everyone :)

hugs, kim
