Dupe Alert for MAC Stereo Rose! (Sneak Peek)

This is only a sneak peek of the blush dupe for Stereo Rose I was talking about. I say sneak peek because I will post an update tomorrow when I actually apply them both on my cheeks. Look out for that maybe tomorrow on Friday :)

Since I got received about 5 emails asking if I can post it as early as possible..here it is.

I present Body Shop Blush Trio in Warm Sunset and MAC Stereo Rose MSF

> Body Shop Blush Trio in Warm Sunset- Check it out here. I got this a month ago and didn't even bother using it, but I rekindled with this blush and it is seriously a dupe for MAC Stereo Rose. The price if, of course cheaper- $8.50. I'm not sure if I got mine on sale or if it is the actual price because it doesn't say on the website, but I love how it looks on my cheeks. It is a tiny teeny bit darker(more raspberry undertones) compared to Stereo Rose, but when applied on the cheeks- DUPE!

* one bad thing- ONLY AVAILABLE IN THE US.

> MAC Stereo Rose- This MSF was released last year(MAC In the Groove collection) and it was sold out everywhere because of the hype going around. Your best bet right now- Ebay, but for sure you will pay twice the price or even higher. This is my absolute favorite MSF, heck blush from MAC(along with Well Dressed). if you are familiar with MAC MSFs it is a hit or miss kinda thing because some MSFs are super glittery/shimmers, but others like Stereo Rose has the perfect sheen(not glittery or shimmery).

Here's a close up
MAC Stereo Rose
and.. Body Shop Blush Trio in Warm Sunset
Swatch for the Body Shop Blush Trio- now if you want a bang on dupe for Stereo Rose, just swirl your blush concentrating on the pink(bottom on the pan and the far right on my hand swatch) side of the blush.
Left finger: Body Shop Warm Sunset
Right  finger: MAC Stereo Rose

* So there you go a few photos and swatches to show you what I was talking about. I will try my best to update on how the Body Shop Warm Sunset blush and MAC Stereo Rose looks on my cheeks tomorrow, if not Friday.

Hope this helps.

I recommend checking the Body Shop blush trios. I have the highlighter one too- Cool Dusk. If you guys want a review on that just comment below :)

Have a nice Thursday and thanks for reading :)

A LONG(very) Overdue Swap- from UK to Canada

A swap from the lovely AMELIA - She lives in UK, so what else can a girl from Canada ask for, but Barry M cosmetics of course!

She sent me lovely goodies such as candies, Rimmel London lipsticks, Barry M nail polishes AND 4 lovely shades of Barry M lipsticks.

I was really excited for the lipsticks specifically because of all the hype going on around the beauty community. I know that Barry M MIGHT be sold here in Canada *cross fingers* soon. I actually want more products from them, such as their dazzle dusts and glosses, but I will show you what Amelia sent me

To Amelia:

Thank you so so so much for these lovely goodies. I'm sorry if it took me a million years(well, not really..two months I think?) to post this one up, but here it is.

Barry M 126- Lovely lilac isn't it?
Barry M 53- This reminds me of MAC Victorian. I love this shade a lot.
Barry M 146- A very wearable pink. Think MAC Snob mixed with Pink Nouveau and Angel :)
Barry M 100- this one's my favorite. I would say MAC Snob?
Conclusion: Please Barry M, come to Canada!! I need you now. :) I need more of your gorgeous products.

Haul: MAC Holiday Collection- A Tartan Tale

Ahh... the much awaited holiday collection from MAC- A Tartan Tale.

What can I say about this collection?

When I first saw it at Temptalia.com, I wasn't really interested or excited with this collection. Well, okay I was eyeing on the lip products, but not the kits/paettes. I was just suppose to get one lipstick and one Dazzleglass Creme from this collection, but ended up with six products when I left the store.

I went to a nearby mall around 3pm today(Thursday) and saw the packaging(bags)- IT IS GORGEOUS!!! I wish they can sell the packaging(bags) alone, and I will for sure get probably two of those. I love the Scottish-inspired design.

I didn't purchase any palettes/kits. I like the nude palette called Dashing Lassies, but I skipped it because I have three of the shadows included in it. I have Showstopper, Buckwheat, and Bronze, so it will be a waste if I get this. However, recommendations are welcome. So if you guys got your hands on the kits included in this collection and you LOVED it. Don't forget to tell me :) Thanks

So let's go on with the haul shall we?

I'll start off with the lipsticks:

Cut A Caper- is an opaque creamy peachy- coral. I thought this would be similar with Jazz, but this is lighter and I would actually consider this as a nude lipstick
lip swatch
Full Fuchsia- bright fuchsia with distinct blue undertones. If you do not want bright bold lipstick with blue undertones then stay away fro this lipstick.

I'm pretty sure I won't wear this on its own. I will pair this with a NUDE lipstick such as; Myth or Creme D Nude.

full face shot- excuse the super pale face, but hey at least you guys know how BRIGHT this lipstick is.
and a hand swatch for both lipstick:

Left: Cut A Caper
Right: Full Fuchsia
Another lip product that I was attracted to is this Dazzleglass Creme called Gone Romancin'

I wanted to grab Passing Fancy(the orange/peach with slight gold shimmers) one, but it was too sheer when I swatched it on my lips.

here are some photos of Gone Romancin'- an opaque lilac with white/lilac shimmers. This appeared more pink than lilac on my lips.

Now for the Pearglide Eyeliners which was a repromote fro the recent Art Supplies collection.

I will describe them as best as I can!

okay! here I go

Black Swan- Black with gray shimmers
Lord It Up- Dark brown with subtle sliver shimmers
Petrol Blue- Deep blue with subtle silver shimmers

top-bottom: Petrol Blue, Lord it Up, and Black Line Pearlglide Intense Eyeliner
Hand swatches:

End of haul.

Have you guys seen the MAC tartan Tale collection? What did you guys get from the Holiday collection? link them up, PERHAPS I can buy more :D

have a nice weekend!

Haul: New Purchases- MAC and Givenchy Lipsticks

Yeap! Another lipstick haul.

I went to Sephora 2 days ago because I was searching for a darker lipstick shade for me. A pink one, but a tad bit darker and warmer toned. I have way too much pink lipsticks that has blue undertones to it.

I went to the Givenchy aisle and I found a perfect shade- 22 Seductive Rose- This shade doesn't have blue undertones to it, and if it has, it doesn't overwhelm me. Don't get me wrong I really love pink lipsticks with blue undertones to it, or even lilac udertones, but for a change I purchased Seductive Rose.

The packaging is to die for isn't it?
Rouge Interdit Seductive Rose # 22- is a pink based lipstick that gives a pretty sheen on the lips. this lipstick applies smoothly, pigmentation is excellent, and moisturizes the lips as well. This specific line by Givenchy contains antioxidant to help hydrate and nourish the lips.

From the Givenchy website: When applied, it immediately soothes and softens the lips. Its fine, spreadable melts over the lips.

I don't know about it melting on the lips, but it sure soothes and moisturizes the lips.
In order to tone down the color of it, I applied MAC Myth.
Here it is toned down. I must say, it still looks gorgeous
MAC

I was twittering http://twitter.com/missshawty1127 (FOLLOW ME PLEASE!!! THANKS) about how devastated I was yesterday because I lost my MAC Pink Nouveau. I can't wait for next week, so I rushed to my nearest MAC and bought it.
Left- Right: Crosswires, Chatterbox, Speed Dial, and Pink Nouveau

I went there around 10:ooam and I didn't realized that it was already 10:45am. Holy, I was there for more than 30 minutes because I reserved some In the Groove products. I must say, Im very impressed with the new collection by MAC. I can't wait for July 8 to grab them and review it here in my blog.

I went for a purpose and that's to get Pink Nouveau, but I left with a big smile on my face. I grabbed 4 lipsticks namely: Pink Nouveau, Chatterbox, Speed Dial, and Crosswires.

Swatches: Crosswires, Speed dial
Chatterbox, Pink Nouveau
MAC Crosswires: Its a lovely shade of coral-pink, but it's not too bright, so it is perfect for summer. This is a cremesheen, so it applies smoothly and gives a perfect creamy and opaque finish.
MAC Chatterbox: Its a pretty pink shade, but it is in the neutral side. Mac describes it as a bright pink with red undertones. It has an amplified finish which is my favourite finish.
MAC Speed Dial: A light blue pink which has a cremesheen finish. If you know how MAC Angel looks like, I think Speed Dial is a little bit darker.
Last, but not the least Pink Nouveau: Yes, I bought it because I lost mine. I love this shade, but I don't apply this on my whole lips. I just dab it on top of nude lipsticks such as Myth, or Creme D' Nude, or basically any nude you have in your collection. Mac Describes it as bright pink and it has a amplified cream finish.

have you guys purchased any new lipsticks lately?

Swatches: Pink Lipsticks

Hi ladies,

Im here once again sharing with you my most obsessed about makeup product- Lipsticks.

It's really weird that I got hooked with lipsticks because when I first started collecting make-up I swore to God that the least important product for me are lipsticks. I guess my world turned upsi daisies. Everything flipped over and now, Im super obsessed with lipsticks. I can't stop buying them. I think it's because of reading beauty blogs and watching Youtube videos.

I do not grab my pink lipsticks that often compared to to the nude ones just because they are harder to pair up with. You can't go wrong with nude lipsticks tho right? When it comes to pink lipsticks, you need to be careful with them and not to over use it. I like pairing them with neutral eyes just to balance the colors on my face.
From Left-Right: MAC Victorian, MAC Snob, MAC Angel, MAC Saint Germain, MAC Plink, Mac Viva Glam Gaga, NYC Acapulco, NYX Narcissus

I received tons and tons of emails asking me to swatch my lip products on my lips and not at the back of my hand. I agree, it is really different if it is swatched on the lips because the color and shade of the product really comes out. For the longest time, I figured out how to work my camera. I finally know how to capture photos up close and clear at the same time. yay.

Oh, I forgot while I was swatching these lipsticks on, I figured out that my Pink Nouveau was missing and I can't find it =(. I need to get a new one immediately. =(

Anyways...

Here are the swatches for my pink lipsticks.

MAC Victorian (LE)- Spring Color Forecast collection
MAC Snob(Satin)- permanent
MAC Angel(Frost)- Permanent
MAC Saint Germain(Amplified)- Pro color.(not sure)- permanent
MAC Plink(Lustre)- Permanent

MAC Viva Glam Gaga(Lustre)
NYX Acapulco

NYX Narcissus

NOTE: I heard a lot of people saying that NYX Narcissus is a perfect dupe for MAC Saint Germain, but I think Narcissus is more on the pink side while Saint Germain is more on the lilac side of the spectrum.

Whats next on my to buy list:
MAC Speed Dial
MAC Chatter Box
MAC Pink Nouveau
MAC Creme Cup

Are you more of the pink lipstick junkie, or nude?
