Drooling over summer/spring hairstyles

Spring is here at exactly 33 days. Are you guys looking forward to it?

It is a cold rainy Wednesday morning here in Vancouver and what better way to start the day than to blog. I must say that I've been a good blogger this month and I should continue on with it.

Last night while I was browsing the web to look for some spring/summer clothing, something caught my eye-nope!I wasn't attracted to any tops/jeans/jewelries or shorts. I found myself drooling over models' hairstyles. I strighten my hair majority of the time and curl them maybe once every two weeks. I want some change, so I really want to learn how to have that perfect wavey hair.
Honestly everytime I watch youtube videos, I always look for hair tutorials-especially those "Loose curls/waves using a flat iron" and "Beachy waves " tutorials. I love those kinds of videos, so if you know a beauty guru who has good hair tutorials please link them below or if you have any tips and tricks on how to create sexy waves, do share them. I tried sleeping with braids on and they do work, but I get headaches if I sleep with wet hair.

I found some pretty hairstyles on the web to inspire me.
Loose curls/beachy waves:
This ones my favorite!

I included this photo because I love MaryKate Olsen's rings...and hair
Jennifer Aniston's hair looks super natural
Braid/messy sideway plait
I LOVE her hairstyle so much!

Do you like your hair staightened or curled? Do you guys use a flat iron or a curling iron to achieve a wavey/curly hair?
have a happy Wednesday :)

Drooling Over Benefit!

What better way start the day than to drool over some makeup products from Benefit Cosmetics.

I'm a Benefit newbie! There I said it.

I know, I know, shockeroo I don't own any of these well-known products from Benefit. Honestly speaking, I actually stayed away from the brand for quite sometime now because I had a bad experience with it. Four years ago(wow that sounded like a centuries ago) when I wasn't into makeup yet, my mom brought me to The Bay here in Canada to shop for some basic makeup products(I don't know why I didn't head off to MAC or NARS instead). The sales lady at the Benefit counter suggested a traveling brush set to me because brushes are important when you are starting of with make-up right? I didn't know what brushes or products to choose from the brand because I wasn't familiar with ANY brands yet at that time. So to cut the long story short, my mom ended up purchasing the brush set for me($52) it was TERRIBLE- there were 4 brushes inside( eyeshadow, liner, concealer, and a brow brush). The bristles are horrible that it felt harsh on my skin, so from then on I stayed away from Benefit.

About a year ago when I started this blog, I saw some great reviews and raves about Benefit blushes, specifically Coralista and Sugarbomb. I don't know why, but until now when I go to Sephora I just skip Benefit and go straight to NARS/YSL/Makeup Forever etc.

I need to try some Benefit products and learn more about the brand. So this is the purpose of this post. I need your help my fellow beauty/make-up junkies, I need your recommendations and suggestions on what products are worth my moola. Please!! *big kiddie smile*

I really want one blush, two velvet eyeshdaows to start off, 2 creaseless creams, and Posey Tint OR High Beam. Of course, I wont buy them all at once. I wish I'm THAT RICH to buy everything at once. I know their products are NOT cheap at all, so I have to think really carefully on what is wprth it and what is not.

here are some Benefit products:

There newest blush- Bella Bamba

There most popular product- Coralista
Sugarbomb Blush- I'm really debating over what to get this blush or Coralista, but now that I heard good reviews for Bella Bamba I guess theres three to choose from now.

Posey Tint- I love versatile products like this

High Beam highligher- I saw makeup tutorials where they use High beam to show off those pretty cheek bones.

and finally, there eyeshadows.
I want neutral shades for now. :)
Creaseless cream shadows

and their Velvet shadows.

That's the end of my late night Benefit drooling. So, please help a poor friend out :)
Remember ladies, eventhough Valentines day is over, a man should always respect and love you no matter what day it is. A girl should be treated like queens every single day. I'm not saying that a man should spoil us, but... you guys get my point. n the other hand, ladies cherish your man and love him for who he is and make sure both of you are happy with each other. And for the single ladies, don't worry about that at all. Don't get pressured because I bet there's someone out there who is waiting for you to come into their life. Mybe not today, not tomorrow, or the nex day, but he will come and he will bring joy and make sure he will make you smile. So, for the last time HAPPY VALENTINES DAY to you all.
Thanks you for your support <3
Hope you have a happy Tuesday :)

Shopping My Stash: Part 3

Happy HEARTS day everyone. Hope you guys(my UK/Asia readers) had a wonderful night with your loved ones and if you live in Canada or in the US, then I wish you guys will wonderful night later on :)

I have a perfect song stuck in my head right now...

I need you boo, I gotta see you boo
And the hearts all over the world tonight
Said the hearts all over tha world tonight

(tralalalalala....)

Yes, With You by Chris Brown- perfect song for the day.

okay enough with the mushy stuffs.

Can I just rant about something quickly?

If you follow me on Twitter you know that I've been waiting for a pracel to arrive in the mail three days ago or was that four days ago, but anyways the postman left a note outside my house that no one was home when he rang the doorbell.

To: Mr Postman(eventhough I don't know who the heck you are),

I was at home waiting for you to ring the doorbell. I stayed home for you and my doorbell is working because I tried to ring it when I saw your note(because I thought that the doorbell wasn't working because i didn't hear anything). Now I have to go to 7 eleven and get my parcel there. You didn't even leave any specific time on when I can pick my package up. How will I know if my package is there or not?

PS: I did go to 7 eleven and the lady said that there was no package there for me!? How is that possible? what should I do now? grr. hate situations like this. I will go to 7 eleven again later.

RANT OVER and DONE.

Anyways back to what this post is all about

I've shown you guys Shopping my Stash Part 1 and Part 2, so now it's time to show Part 3

I found more "neglected" products in my magical drawer. > MAC Creamcolor base in "Shell" - soft pink beige with slight micro glitters
> MAC Paint Pot in "Rubenesque" - golden peach with gold pearl
> NYX Eyeshadow in "Ultimatum" - white champagne with shimmer

I even remember raving about Rubenesque paint pot and Shell cream color base awhile back. I know I will still love Rubenesque because I can wear it alone with a champagne/neutral eyeshadows(Naked Lunch or All That Glitters) and I'm good to go. Shell cream color base will be a good highlighter on the cheekbones and browbone. My only problem with Shell is that it doesn't look natural like what MAC Soft and Gentle MSF gives because it does contain glitters. If you are interested with MAC cream color bases, I suggest you try them out first and what I mean by try is that you need to apply it on your face and see if it the shade matches you. I made a mistake by just swatching Shell on my hand and quickly paid for it. I want to try Luna and Hush cream color bases now.

Ultimatum is practicallya straighy forward shade. I say straight forward because I know I will use this as a inner highlight or an all over lid color.
here are some hand swatch from left to right: MAC Shell creamcolor base, NYX Ultimatum eyeshadow, and MAC Rubenesque paint pot.
If you don't have Rubenesque paint pot in your makeup stash, then I suggest you go buy it because it's the type of shade that you can always slap on if you're lazy and in a hurry. Amongst all MAC Paint pots, I would suggest you get these 4- Bare Study, Construtivist, Painterly, and Rubenesque.
Conclusion: I think that's the end of my "Shopping my Stash" journey and I'm really glad I shared that with you.
Giveaway as soon as I get my parcel. I would just want to say this in advance that my giveaway is sponsored. You will know by who within this week. :)
Have a happy week and enjoy the day/night away

Top 10 Favorite Blushers

Blogging on a Saturday night before I head to downtown Vancouver to celebrate the one year anniversary of the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. I bet it's going to be fun because there will be concerts, food, games, and the best part- Canadian olympians will be there as well(some). I'm really excited, so I better finish blogging and go dress up.

So..when it comes to blushes, I usually stick to neutral shades- pinks, peaches, and shades in between, but recently I've been exploring with some bright shades like NARS Taj Mahal(burnt orange), and NARS Exhibit A (bright red orange). I borrowed my friend's NARS blushes a week ago to give them a try because she doesn't really use them at all, so might as well borrow them right?I just know that I will purchase NARS Taj Mahal and Exhibit A sooner or later because everytime I go to Sephora, I swatch them -> look at the pretty swatches on my hand ->drool oven them -> tell myself " NO KIM you have way too many blushes" -> look at the swatch again -> *deep SIGH* -> walk away. Can someone please tell me that I NEED those blushes in my life?

NOTD: That's Berry Daring

This will be a quick post because I'm about to head out, but I want to show you guys what nail polish I used today.

Recently, I'm all about bright hues because I'm really excited for spring. I opted for a bright-ish pink called That's Berry Daring. This is from the OPI's Brights collection and I love it.

One thing I like about OPI That's Berry Daring is that it is a nail polish color that is true to the way it looks in the bottle even after application. I would describe it as a very creamy, glossy fuchsia pink berry color that has a slight pearlized purple undertones that is opaque in a swoosh(I always apply two coats tho). This shade is perfect for both manicure and pedicure, but I bet most of you would like it on your tippy toes.

So..enough blabbering. Here are some pictures of the polish I'm talking about- People of the world, meet That's Berry Daring

NOTE: SLOPPY APPLICATION :D Sorry
I tried to capture the purple undertones. I TRIED, but its nada.. :(
I think you can see it better on the nails.

What shade is on your nails right now?

Have a happy weekend :)

Haul: MAC(Wonder Woman) and some other stuffs

Hey everyone

Are you guys tired of me hauling?

Well, I just went to MAC and got ONE product from the Wonder Woman, some permanent MAC items, and 2 lipbalms from the drugstore.

I won't blab about useless stuffs and I'll go ahead and talk about what I bought.

I'll start off with MAC- well..let me just say that the packaging of the Wonder Woman collection screams: CHILDISH. I know some of you guys like the packaging, but not me. Ironically I bought one blush and that's MAC Mighty Aphrodite. I thought I would like the MSF's, but nah it's HUGE! Could you imagine someone bringing a big lip gloss and MSF in public and applying it on their lips/face? Just saying :D

anyways here are some photos of the items I bought:
MAC:
> Mighty Aphrodite blush
> Melba Blush
> Superslick Liquid Liners(permanent) in On The Hunt and Defiantly Feline
> Studio Concealer- NW 20

DRUSGTORE:
> Nivea Lip Balms

MAC Mighty Aphrodite:

I'm glad I bought this blush. It recmind me of MAC's Ripe Peach from their Spring 2010 collection.

Melba is a super pigmented neutral peach blushI would definitely recommend MAC's Superslick Liquid Liners

These are actually my second tubes and I love them to bits. Did you purchase anything from Wonder Woman collection? What do you guys think of it?

Have a happy weekend!
