Top 10 Favorite Eyeshadows

You've seen my favorite lipsticks, glosses, and nail polishes, so now it's time for me to show my Top 10 favorite eyeshadows(most worn)

I figured that I should post something up while sipping my cup of coffee in a sunny afternoon. Mr. Sun decided to show up and that makes me really happy. I don't know why, but I feel spring. I'm really excited for spring trends- matte neon lips, matte lips, statement rings. big cross necklaces, no eye makeup(mascara only), glowy face and many more.

Honestly, I'm not really a huge fan of eyeshadows and if you know me I STICK with NEUTRALS and I can prove that to you! I usually wear two colors on my lids- inner corner highlight and an all over lid color. This week, I've been wearing NARS "Nepal" all over the lid, MAC "Tempting" and MAC "Shroom" as brow highlight and inner corner highlight.

I would say that if you are starting off with makeup I would recommend these eyeshadows. I started off with MAC "Shroom", MAC "Naked Lunch", and MAC "All That Glitters". I used to use these three colors every single day- Shroom inner corner highlight, Naked Lunch all over lids, and All That Glitters Outer corner and crease.

So...without further a do here's my most worn eyeshadows of all time

Favorite Eyeshadows list:(NO LIMITED EDITION) > NARS "Nepal"
> MAC "Shroom"
> Urban Decay "Toasted"
> Urban Decay "Sin"
> NYX "Champagne"
> NYX "Mocha"
> NYX "Fahrenheit"
> MAC "Naked Lunch"
> MAC "All That Glitters"
> MAC "Tempting"(Photo above)Top: NARS Nepal, MAC Shroom, UD Toasted, UD Sin
Bottom: NYX Champagne, NYX Mocha, NYX Fahrenheit
(Photo Above)Left: MAC Naked Lunch. MAC All That Glitters(these are forst two eyeshadows when I frst started makeup)- HIT PAN! :)
(Photo Above)MAC Tempting
______________________________________________________
Now with the close ups and swatches:

NARS Nepal, and MAC Shroom
Urban Decay Toasted, and Urban Decay Sin
NYX Champagne(forgot to take picture, SORRY), Fahrenheit, and Mocha
MAC Naked Lunch, MAC All That Glitters, and MAC Tempting
I also included some contenders.
> MAC Rice Paper
> MAC Jest
> MAC Gleam
> MAC Patina
> MAC Hey(LE)

Hand swatch:

Top: MAC Rice Paper, MAC Jest
Bottom: MAC MAC Gleam, MAC Patina, MAC Heyand finally, some looks using my eyeshadows
Above photo: I used Shroom all over the lid here
Above photo: I used Nepal all over the lid and MAC Amber Lights on the outer corner.

Conclusion: I should explore more with colored eyeshadows, but I can't pull off pinks definitely. Do you guys know any way or any look that I can do to make pink eyeshadows suit me? Help a friend out. I'm thinking pink eyeshadow all over lid, light brown on the crease. and an inner corner highlight. Maybe that will do. I should experiment on it and show you guys huh?

Thanks for reading and have a happy Tuesday :)

A Purple Holiday Makeup Look

How's the Holiday shopping going? Are you guys done? 16 more days till Christmas.

WOW December is flying by quickly. Then, New Years is up next. What's your New Years resolution? I think mine will be spending wisely and do not buy A LOT of makeup. I'll TRY to persue this New Years resolution of mine.

Oh, I have a quick question...Are you guys going on a Holiday Vacation? or are you just staying home with your family and friends?

Last Week, I think that was a Saturday, my friends and I went Holiday shopping. I, personally do not like shopping with a lot of people. I prefer shopping alone because I can stay in one store for how many minutes, or hours(Sephora, H&M, Aritzia). If you're shopping with guys, do expect that they will rush you because they will for sure say "hurry up! you're taking hours to shop!" Don't you just hate that!? I DO!

Do you prefer shopping alone? or with a bunch of people? I guess I don't mind shopping with my mom/sister or with couple of friends.

Anyways, enough with the chit chat of what I did last weekend and lets go on with my FOTD. I guess this look can be worn during the Holiday right? well, I will :)

Here's my Purple Holiday makeup Look(nothing fancy)
I used couple of new products and loving them to pieces. Let me show them to you.
FOR EYES: I first applied MAC Painterly Paintpot(as eyeshadow base), then I used MAC Jest(for inner half), MAC Star Violet (for outer half), and tiny teeny amount of MAC Carbon eyeshadow(for outer V). I then applied MAC Superslick Liquid Liner in On The Hunt(upper lashline). Lastly, I used MAC Technakohl in Graph Black(waterline). For Mascara- I used YSL Faux Cils(2 coats)
FOR FACE: I first mixed my foundation- NARS Sheer Glow in Ceylon and MAC Face and Body in C3, then I applied concealer- YSL Touche Eclat(for undereyes) and MAC Select Moisture(for uneven shades on my face and for scars/zits). Then I used MAC Natural Skin Finish in Medium(for all over face powder)I then used my NARS Casino Bronzer for cheek/face contour, and applied NARS Deep Throat blush. Lastly, I used MAC By Candlelight for highlight(cheeks/nose) .
FOR LIPS: Simple and nude. Just the way I like it :)- I used MAC Hue lipstick and Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Nude Lustre

The new products I used are the MAC eyeshadows(Jest and Star Viloet). I love them. I personally like Jest better compared to Star Violet just because I know I will be using Jest more often. Jest is SUPER SIMILAR to Naked Lunch, but it has more pink tone to it compared to Naked Lunch.

So what will you be sporting on Christmas eve or Christmas Parties(makeup wise)?

Happy Thursday :)

Haul: It's All About The Eyes

So a trip to the U.S. means a trip to Sephora.

I have been contemplating for the last month or two if I should get a new Kat Von D Tattoo Liner here in Canada for $22 or is it $25, or should I wait and get it in Seattle for only $18..well I waited and got one is Seattle. Why should the prices here in Canada be more expensive compared to the U.S. Even MAC cosmetics!? God, they are made here in Canada and they are more expensive. why!? anyways, can't do anything with that can we?

so just a little haul to show you guys..

I bought:

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper
Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Toasted
Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Blaze

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper- I've finished about 2 tubes already and this is my third. I love this liquid liner because it creates a thin precise line, but at the same time you can create a thick line as well. One more thing I love about this liner is that it makes it so much easier to create a "wing-eyed" look.

I recommend you guys to try this. It is worth every penny. It also comes in Navy, Gold, Silver and I think a gunmetal shade as well.

I do not have a swatch for this because it will be just plain black- no shimmer, no glitter, nothing at all. Just flat black which I love.

and let's talk about the Urban Decay eyeshadows.

I missed out on the NAKED PALETTE and I'm really sad about it. I really want one, so if you guys know anyone who is selling their Naked Palette tell me and I will get it for sure or if you know any site that sells them too. Sephora is always out of stock.

Honestly, I never tried Urban Decay eyeshadows, and to tell you guys the truth I'm really impressed with it. I'm a neautral girl, so I chose Toasted and Blaze.
Toasted- a neutral golden bronze shade, perfect for all over the lid or in the crease. Love the pigmentation of this shadow and really impressed with it.

I have swatches with dupes for this eyeshadow such as MAC Woodwinked, Sable, Satin Taupe, and Tempting.

The closest dupe for Urban Decay Toasted is MAC Woodwinked. Not really close, but no one will notice the slight difference. UD Toasted is slightly lighter than Woodwinked and has a less gold and more brown, while MAC Woodwinked has more gold shade to it and less brown. The one on top is Woodwinked, second row- from left to right MAC Satin Taupe, UD Toasted, MAC Sable. Below is MAC Tempting

and this my MY SHADE..Urban Decay eyeshadow in Blaze

I would describe this as a neutral champagne color. Very very close dupe to MAC All That Glitters.from left-right: MAC Amber Lights(too gold), UD Blaze, ad MAC All That Glitters(very close. good dupe)
so that's the end of my make-up haul from Sephora. Next up Facial care

Do you guys wear neutral shades like me? or do you wear bright shades as well?

I will be posting a Favorite Beauty Product Series- I will be posting my top 5 lipsticks, lipglosses, eyeshadows, blushes, bronzers, etc. So, watch out for that. I will start the whole series thing maybe next week after I post everything I bought in Seattle.

Thanks for reading.

It is Remembrance Day tomorrow(November 11- Thursday).Let's remember out Veteran Soldiers who died for our conutry and who continues to serve our country.

Its time to blog again

Long time no blog. So sorry guys I was really busy with almost everything. I went to do some clothes shopping. I will be posting what I bought in this blog to share what I bought to you my lovely readers.

This post is intended to rave about a couple of things- beauty products of course. They are MAC Shroom eyeshadow and MAC Fix +

Oh and make sure you guys finish reading this post. A surprise will be revealed- hint it is about my contest entry.

I did a couple of FOTDs already on this blog and I got a lot of comments about my cheek highlight. I was using MAC MSF in By Candlelight. I recently discovered that Shroom actually works as a cheek highlight as well. I knew Shroom is a very versatile product. I bet almost everyone owns Shroom already because well.. it's a must have in every make-up collection.
SHROOM EYESHADOW:

MAC described Shroom as soft muted golden beige with opalescent shimmer. They are indeed right because it is in fact in my top 2 fave highlight. I use this on my brow bone and recently on my cheek bones as well. I use the Sonia Kashuk Flat top brush and just dab it upwards. It gives me a natural looking face. It shimmers a little bit, but it does not have any glitters at all.

I posted a FOTD where I used Shroom as a brow highlight, tear duct highlight, nose bridge highlight, and cheek bones highlight as well. Told you I use it in every way possible.

MAC FIX +:

This product is love. I use it in many ways as well. I would also assume that you guys know about this, but I would love to share my thought on it. MAC Fix+ is intended to be used to set your makeup. You could definitely use it after you put on your foundation and after your done with your whole makeup routine. It can also be used to refresh your face and neck. I put this inside my purse and it won't spill because you can lock it. That's awesome right!?

how to use this: After you put on your foundation spray about 4 spritz on your face and neck. Then get a blow dryer and just run it through your face, just to let the fix + settle down. Then put on your eye makeup, face makeup, etc. Lastly, spray 3 spritz on your face to set and minimize smudges.
Surprise surprise
- Im so excited to read new contest entries for my 150 contest once again. More people are joining my contest. YAY! I can't believe I have 300 followers now! Its been a month and I can't express how grateful I'am to all of you. Now, to say thank you, I will be adding more prizes for my 150 contest.
You guys want to know what they are?
here it is:
-I will be adding MAC Viva Glam Gaga and Cyndi- yeap winner gets both!
-GOSH Darling lipstick.- I love this nude lipstick. One of my favorite indeed.
soo don't forget to enter my contest. Thanks!
Have you guys found a products that you can use it so many different ways? mine is Shroom.

NYX Review plus a small ELF haul

Hey Ladies,

This will be a small review and a haul as well. Hope you guys enjoy this one.

NYX-I got the NYX eyeshadows for 20% off from a local drugstore. YAY for discounts. When it comes to NYX single eyeshadows I don't know if I like them or not because they are a bit too powdery and soft, but very pigmented. I guess it's worth it because of the color payoff. Which good right? I heard great reviews for their eyeshadow palettes tho. NYX has a huge variety of eyeshadows, but you guys know me I love my neutrals. So I got Champagne and Fahrenheit. You can buy NYX cosmetics at Cherry Culture - http://cherryculture.com/ . They also carry Milani, L.A. Colours, etc. I'm still waiting for my recent purchase of Narcissus and Acapulco lipsticks tho. I've been waiting for a month now. Does it really take them that long to ship internationally? Does anyone know? because this is my first time so yea. =) thanks
I really like Fahrenheit and Champagne together, they're match mates in Heaven. =) Fahrenheit has a reddish tome to it, with a little gold reflects, while Champagne is All That Glitters, but less gold. So I think It would be a great dupe for All That Glitters from MAC. You can def. use both of these eyeshadows alone and still look fab. I really recommend trying these two out.
NYX- FAHRENHEIT NYX- CHAMPAGNE
Swatch- Fahrenheit and Champagne

Here is the 5 shadow palette.
I Dream Of Nevis

The swatch of I Dream Nevis palette. I do not reach this palette that often. I really like the darker brown color at the bottom tho. Does anyone own this palette too? tell me how to use them.thanks. I basically just use the brown one to line my lower lash line. I can't really say if I would recommend this, but I would try to make it work for me first before I recommend it.

ELF
I looove this eyeshadow. It's called saddle. It's $3. Super worth the money. pigmented, nice packaging, has a mirror, neutral. This is my first eyeshadow from them. You can pair this up with almost every shadow you own. It has a satin finish to it, so it has a sheen, but not shimmer. That's why I like this.

Have you guys purchased any ELF eyeshadow from their studio line? what do you guys recommend? I wanted to buy Wheat, but I'm not sure if its a pretty colour.

The pretty swatch of ELF- Saddle eyeshadow from their studio line.

Tell me what Eyeshadows from NYX and ELF are pretty and worth the money, would love to hear from you guys. thanks! comment below.

xoxo, Kim
