MAC Lipglass Comparisons

 Fifi from Pretty Much Makeup-http://prettymuchmakeup.blogspot.com/(Check this girl out now, I love her blog so much <3) was asking me about what's the difference between MAC Prr Lipglass and MAC Underage Lipglass, so with that I decided to compare some MAC lipglasses :). 

I hereby present to you guys MAC Prr, Echantress, Underage, and Florabundance lipglasses.

I will be comparing the four of them.

Prr and Enchantress are super alike just with a bit of color difference. MAC Underage and Florabundance on the other hand, are similar with a tad bit of difference in terms of their shade and opaqueness

MAC Underage and Florabundance:

Underage- A pale really creamy pinkish nude. Thats all I can say about this. I always repurchase this gloss over and over again because it is the best nude gloss out there, in my opinion that is. I love this gloss, but the only downside about this is that it is hard to work with and this means that you need to be very careful when applying Underage. Just don't put too much of this product on your lips.

Florabundance- It is very similar to Underage, but the only difference is that this gloss is more peach than pink. It is still creamy, but less opaque than Underage. I would say, that Florabundance is more wearble than Underage. When I say wearable, this means that you wear it on its own. Florabundance is easier to work with compared to Underage.

Enchantress and Prr:

Enchantress- is a peachy- coral with gold pearls that is perfect for summer. This shade is a "my lips, but better" kind of color. Enchantress is more on the peachy gold side of the spectrum.

Prr-This gloss has a pinky-peach with gold reflects on it. I would say Prr has more of a pink shade to it compared with Enchantress. I think the best way to describe this color is that it is a satiny-pink shade with gold shimmer to it. AH IM BAD WITH DESCRIBING COLORS :(, but I hope you guys understand what I'm saying. haha :)

So, to Fifi and for all those who commented, I hope I answered your question :)

I know Underage/ Florabundance and Enchantress/Prr looks so much alike, but I hope I managed to "spot the difference" for you my lovely readers. :)

A Nude Lip Combo

Its Friday once again and the weekend is here!

so happy Friday everyone. :) Hope you guys will have a good weekend.

So it is written on the title, this post will be about a nude lip combo.

I recently purchased MAC Peachstock- This lipstick is on their permanent line and was released with MAC Liberty of London collection with special packaging. You can still find Peachstock at a MAC pro store and it will forever be there. :) Peachstock is a nude shade with peach undertone, no pinks on this one. So for those people like me who are obsessed with nude lip, then MAC Peachstock is for you.

The lip combo I'm talking about are MAC Peachstock and MAC Underage Lipglass. Well, of course my lip combos will change practically every 2 days HAH! :D

MAC Underage Lipglass worn on its own- Underage is an opaque lipgloss. It goes well with nude lipsticks and also, it can be worn on its own. It has pink undertone and has a smooth texture as well. Oh and it is very creamy too. I would also recommend Mac Florabundance, or NARS Turkish Delight with MAC Peachstock

Lessons when applying nude lipsticks and glosses:

Nude lips are not for everyone, it's either you love it or you hate it. There are many nude lipsticks and glosses out there in the market and that is not good for me and for those people obsessed with nude lips. I am obsessed with nude lips because you can practically wear them every single day whether you go out with friends, have a date, or go to work you can definitely pull off a nude lip.

There may be different ways to wear them and I will carefully write them down for you.

First option: Pale skinned girls have a broader range of color at their fingertips. when choosing the right nude lipstick or gloss, you can either go more peachy, more pink, or even washed out and totally nude. You skin color will definitely enhance all of these shades.

Second option: If your skin is more olive toned, I would recommend to stay away from truly pale beiges or lipsticks that has white undertones on them. Why? because your goal with a nude lip is to create a more natural looking lips and something too pale with creamy white undertones will make you look dead. If you have an olive toned skin go for warmer nudes such as; those with brown and peach undertone- I would say ,for example the MAC Viva Glam lipsticks because most of them have brown undertones and this will enhance your face a lot more. Good part about Viva Glam lipsticks is that 100 % of your money goes to charity. :)

Third option: A nude lip needs to go with a smokey eye look because it will enhance your features more. I'm not saying that it is a must to pair up your nude lip with a bolder eye, but it will help make your eyes pop and as well as your lips. What I mean about bolder eyes is to swipe any colored eyeshadow- browns, golds, pink, taupes, any color basically, line your upper and lower lash line, and slap on your favorite mascara and you are all done.

Fourth Option: If you do not have any nude lipstick just go on and slap on a concealer. It will have the same effect as a nude lipstick, but be careful because it may dry up your lips faster. Make sure you apply a base, like a lip balm with SPF.

--> When using a lip liner with nude lipsticks, better make sure that the shade you are suing is not darker than your lipstick or you natural lip color. Also, make sure that you blend the lip liner all over your lips so there won't be any harsh line surrounding your lips

Haul: Mac Dare to Wear Collection Plus Some Random MAC Products

Hi ladies!

As you all know the new MAC Dare to Wear collection launched today in North America, so I went to MAC and bought some Dare to Wear lipglasses(skipped the eyeshadows) and also bought some random MAC products as well. I will be reviewing all of them.

Just put in mind that I bought these products today except for the foundation. So these are just my first thoughts about them.

MAC So Bad and Bold & Brash Dare to Wear Lipglass

This is the newest collection from MAC that came out today in Canada (July 29). This collection consist of 6 Dare to Wear Lipgloass and 12 eyeshadows(skipped it). I was looking forward for this collection and now it is out. What can I say about it? for me, I am not a huge fan of matte shadows and I do not want lip glosses that have chunky glitters in it. I first googled about the lipglasses before I went to my MAC counter and a lot of people said that the glitters on the lipglasses included in this collection are very very fine and that they are very pigmented. I would agree that the Dare to Wear lipglasses are very pigmented and easy to apply on the lips, but I wouldn't quite agree that they have fine glitters. I thought that they will be similar to MAC Dazzleglass Creme which by the way I adore, but I would say that they are very similar to the lipgelees that MAC released with the MAC in Lilyland collection last February.

I was suppose to get 5 of the lipglasses in this collection, but only ended up with two. Those two are So Bad and Bold & Brash. I chose one that is totally wearable and I'm talking about So bad Lipglass, and an extreme bright red that is the Bold & Brash. The lipglasses in this collection has a full coverage color with holographic finish to it. These glosses have a gel formula so it glides on smoothly, but still gives an intense look on the lips.

So Bad- It is a coral orange shade with pink and gold pearls.

MAC Cremesheen Glass in Richer and Lusher(Too Fabulous collection)

This has a creamy peach coral shade that when you apply it on your lips it will give them a light flush of peachy pink look. I am currently obsessed with peach lipsticks and glosses. I would pair this with Shy Girl :)

MAC Shy Girl Lipstick

I went to MAC to purchase MAC Pretty Please lipstick, but when I saw that it is a glaze finish I skipped it. I was hunting for a peachy coral lipstick and the MAC makeup artist recommended Shy Girl. I know I lot of people love this shade and I'm joining in the fun. This is totally an everyday lipstick that you can wear on its own or top it off with a peach/pink/nude gloss.

Another MAC purchase- MAC Face and Body Foundation (C3)

I had this product for more than a week already.

I have dry/ sensitive skin and this foundation is fabulous. Why? first of all it's water based, so it means that it will give your skin a dewy finish and a healthy glow. You can definitely build up the product and it is VERY easy to blend. Since its a water based foundation it will not give you a full/ heavy coverage, but you can build it up. When you put it on your brush/fingers/back of your hand, it's quite runny, but once you start spreading it all over your face, it becomes thicker. I love the coverage, I usually mix it with my moisturizer, gives face a nice and healthy glow, without making it look heavy and natural. I got it in C3, but there is a wide selection of shades to choose from for every skin tone. This product dries up quickly too. This also comes in a big bottle, so I guess the amount of money you paid for is worth it.

I would totally recommend this product not just for people who have dry/sensitive skin, but also to those who have oily/combination skin. I saw a lot of reviews about this on YT and most of them are positive ones, so I gave it a go- NO REGRETS!

TAG: Would You Rather (Beauty Edition)

Ok ok I'll do this tag because I've been tag by so many people already.

I know there are thousand of posts about this already, but I think this would be fun.

so enough with the blah blah and go on with the tag!

WOULD YOU RATHER.... (BEAUTY EDITION)

NOTE: I didn't read the question yet, so everything I write here are my first thoughts. Bare with me if I have nothing to say.

Questions

1.Would you rather go out with messy hair and nice make-up or Nice hair and no make-up?

--> Nice hair and no make-up that's for sure! I often go out with no make-up anyways like when I go grocery shopping or go to my boyfriends house, but I can't stand messy hair. I always blow dry my hair after I take a bath(BAD KIM) or if I'm in a hurry, I tie it back.

.2.Would you rather shave your eyebrows or have your eyelashes fall out?

--> I would rather shave my eyebrows because I can just draw them right? .Yes I can. If my eyelashes fall out it would be hard like I need to wait for them to grow? uh.. that will take forever. So yes, shave eyebrows and draw them back whenever I go out.

3.Would you rather be forced to shop at only MAC or Sephora for the rest of your life?

--> I would rather shop at MAC. yes, you heard me MAC. Why? because I need to join in the bandwagon. Honestly when I see people with new collections from MAC I drool and get jealous. I can probably survive with only MAC products. MAC has everything tho and almost all my make-up products are from MAC. I know Sephora offers a huge variety of brands and I love shopping at Sephora too, but I choose MAC.

4.Would you rather wear lipgloss/lipliner look or 80's perm?

--> I would choose the lipgloss/lipliner look just because I can blend in the lipliner right? I dunno???this is hard, but I do not want the 80's perm tho, my hair will be MASSIVELY DAMAGED. :( Curly hair doesn't suit me. I can go out with waves, but not CURLY perm.

.5.Would you rather leave the house with an obvious foundation line or overdone blush?

--> I would rather leave the house with an overdone blush. I often do that tho I think? Im pale, so I need that hint of color on my cheeks. I do not want the obvious foundation lines because that's nasty. I mean AHHH THIS IS HARD. :D

6.Would you rather wear MC Hammer pants or biker shorts in public?

--> If biker shorts means those tight short shorts, then I would choose that. On the other hand, if biker shorts means those longs shorts, then maybe I'll have second thoughts? or maybe not? yea, I choose Biker shorts because I won't wear shiny pants outside that will make me look stupid.

7.Would you rather have a bad orange-y spray tan or really weird tan lines that can't be covered?

-->I would rather choose really weird tan lines that can't be covered because I have that. I have bikini lines and shorts lines. HAHA. Guys get shirt tans too right? like from their sleeves? Yea, I would rather go with the tan lines. Orange skin is uh NO NO.

8.Would you rather have a bad haircut or bad hair color?

--> I would rather choose bad hair color because it happened to my sister already and her hair grew really fast. If I have a bad hair cut I would CRY my ass off and I would sue the hair dresser. haha.

9. Would you rather have you tube or twitter taken away forever?

--> I would taher have twitter taken away forever. I mean I love twitter don't get me wrong PLEASE FOLLOW- http://twitter.com/missshawty1127 . HAHA I think twitter is stupid tho like I love updating my twitter, but I can't live without you tube. I need YT because it's my life. Every morning when I wake up I watch YT. It is my routine. They can't take away YT from me.

10.Would you rather give up using makeup brushes or mascara?

--> Ill give up mascara. Honestly, I do not use mascara that often because every time I have mascara on, my parents would nag me about it. They would always comment about it like "your make-up looks so overly done with mascara" or " your eyes looks scary". I'll skip mascara, but I need my brushes.

In and Out #4

Hey beauties,

This is a post about my recent faves and what I'm dissing at the moment. For me, In and outs are half fun half boring.

Fun because I absolutely love reading beauty bloggers' In and Outs because it gives me and idea what they are loving and hating at the moment.

Boring because I do not have anything to post today, so I opted for this.

so enough with the chit chat and on with what this post is about.

Ins:

Essie Nail Polishes- LOVE LOVE LOVE Essie! some of their polish may be a little bitch to apply, but I haven't encounter any yet. I have Lollipop, Haute as Hello, Angora Cardi, Mink Muffs, and Candy Mint Apple or is it Mint Candy Apple? Whatever it is, I will for sure purchase more Essie polish. I should stop purchasing OPIs at the moment. Any Essie polish recommendations for me?

West Coast- The breeze, beaches, cafes west coast is the place to be. My summer is getting better and better every single day.

Healthy Glow- I take multi vitamins every single morning. I take them religiously to help booze my energy. For the past week I noticed a change with my skin, in a good way tho. I feel that my skin is better now- hydrated and moisturized at the same time.

Kiehls Products- I bought three products from Kiehls and they are phenomenal. I got the ever famous avocado eye cream, face toner, and conditioner. They work GOOD. I will be reviewing the avocado eye cream this week. I have been using this product for about two weeks now, so a review is on its way.

Rasberry Lips- I never thought I would love red tone lips, but now I do. Im in love with my Viva Glam Cyndi. I wear this lipstick on its own or usually mute it out with a nude lipstick like MAC Myth. It goes well with neutral eyes.

Short makeup routine- so I usually take about 20-30 minutes to put on my makeup in the morning, but when summer started, everything changed. I try to shorten my makeup routine in the morning- 10 minutes max. Isn't that awesome? I first put moisturizer, then eye primer, neutral eyeshadow, liner on my upper and lower lash line, mascara, bronzer, blush, lip balm, and lipstick. YES NO FOUNDATION. you asking what about lip gloss? I still use lip gloss, but not often. I just use foundation and lip gloss when there is a special event.

Jersey Shore- Yes I know, this show is non- sense, but it makes me laugh. new season coming up. SO EXCITED.

Pretty Little Liars- does anyone watch this? This show is awesome. Its not a vampire show don't worry :) It's basically about 5 teenage girls and one of them died. Now the dead girl is haunting the other girls. Well enough! just watch it :) I bet you'll like it

OUTS:

Foundation- I love foundation, but I think foundation and summer are not meant to be together. I still use foundation, don't get me wrong, but I try to minimize it. I only use foundation when I really have to.

Sun spots- I have sun spots on my face. I do not know how to eliminate them. My mom told me that they would not go away, but I can try to lighten them up. :( Do you guys know how? I always put sunscreen and moisturizer. I do not know what else to do. HELP

Rain- I need just a tad bit of rain. Poor plants, or should I say I need some cold air these days. I love the summer heat, but I need rain to- sometimes.

Thin nails- As you guys know, I just had my acrylics and after 3 weeks I took them off. Now, I have thin brittle nails. :( oh well the effect of tacky acrylics. I still love fake nails :) I might get one this week again.

mosquitoes- ARGH I hate them!!! I get bug bites on my legs ALL THE FREAKIN TIME. poor legs :(

Next post will be a fave lip combo of mine then a review about the Kiehls avocado eye cream.

Glam it up with a lipgloss

Hi pretty ladies,

I'm here once again to talk about a recent obsession of mine. It is indeed a lip gloss. I need to confess first because this lip gloss is limited edition and I know it sucks to see limited edition products that you can't get hold off anymore. So I'm going to say sorry in advance, but I would just want to share this with you guys.

I was fixing and organizing my makeup and I found this beauty. How can I seriously forget that I purchased this MAC Lip gloss. What am I talking about? If you guys remember the Baroque Boudoir collection they released late last year (October). This collection has the prettiest, most chic packaging ever! I regret not getting each and everything included in this collection. I wish I did tho, but the price is uh...a little bit on top!? They are a little bit more expensive compared to the other products maybe because of the packaging? It is not a lipglass, dazzleglass, or even a creamsheen glass. What is it? an ordinary Lip Gloss that captured my eyes and my heart the moment I saw it.

Meet MAC Lip Gloss- D' Nouveau from the Baroque Boudoir Collection. How pretty is that? Can I hear WOW!?

I have been wearing this lip gloss on top of almost every lipstick I have, or I even wear this on its own. Here, I have photos of me wearing it on top of a reddish lipstick, a pink lipstick, and a nude one as well. The color is different- it has mostly a cranberry shade to it mixed with silver pearls. It does have subtle, very fine glitters tho. The application is AMAZING, like no other. It is not sticky and it goes on VERY smoothly. If your local CCO has this collection you guys should get at least one lip gloss.

Viva Glam Cyndi topped with D' Nouveau- see how it gives a muted effect on my lips, yet the color of Cyndi is still there.

The Haul of Lipbalms

Good morning and good evening everyone how's your week so far? enjoying summer? or hating the heat? It's about 24 degrees here in Vancouver, not bad tho. It's a perfect time for biking, jogging, running, and walking near the sea wall.

EOS(Evolution of Smooth) lip balm smooth sphere.

These egg-shaped lip balms are everywhere these days. I got them last night and immediately opened them up and applied them on my lips before I slept last night. They are hands- free and 100% organic. This means that you don't have to worry about digging your hands in the pot and when you do that you get a lot of germs. These lip balms also contains Jojaba oil and Shea butter which means that it helps moisturize your lips. Shea butter is a yellowish or ivory-colored natural fat that comes from seed of the African Shea Tree and it is widely used, especially with cosmetics. This lip balm also contains Vitamin E which is antioxidant and this helps sooth your lips. Another great thins about this lip balm is that it was not tested on animals.

Packaging- The cutest packaging ever. I wish all lip balms are egg-shaped now. These are twist off top and it has a flat surface underneath so your balm will be able to stand on its own. These lip balms are clear and smells really good. These lip balms are for lazy people like me because you just need to hold your lips in a natural position and with just one sweep the large balm quickly covers both lips at once.

The product- EXCELLENT. They smell really good and it really soothes and moisturizes the lips. They come in 4 flavours I believe- Sweet Mint,Honeydew Honeysuckle, Summer Fruit, Lemon drop. All contains SPF 15. I bought mine at http://www.drugstore.com/. I ordered them on July 10- and it arrived July19. This company offers shipping internationally, but it is $9.99 flat rate when shipped in Canada.They only offer 3 flavors and I got all 3- Sweet Mint, Honeydew Honeysuckle, and Summer Fruit. They retail for about 4.99 and I promise they are worth every penny.

Recommend? Definitely! 100% yes. Get yours today. Pucker up those lips and smile.If you live in the US, then you are lucky because you can get the EOS lip balms at Walgreens, Rite Aid and Target.

Smith's Rosebud Salve:

Packaging- Tin can and you need to use your fingers to apply this rose- scented balm

Product- Well it has a strong rose scent to it. If you do not want the smell of roses stay out from this product. It has a slight color when applied to your lips. This product retails for $5.59 also at http://www.drugstore.com/. The people behind this invention claims that this product is really hard to find and that it" has been lauded by fashion magazines, make-up artists, and celebrities as their number one preferred lip balm. In addition to being a wonderful lip moisturizer, natural-looking lip gloss and lipstick base, it is still a family favorite to aid in the relief of chapped and dry skin, blemishes, diaper rash, and detergent burns.?

Recommend- Yes to those who loves the scent of roses, and no to those who do not like the smell of roses. Honestly, this is just rose-scented petroleum jelly/ Vaseline. I will still be using this if I want a hint of color on my lips.
